yeah.. on a different angle.. I hear this Africa trip is costing anywhere from 60 to 100million bucks.. here i didnt think the govt had that kinda money to burn.. sadly, I read another article this weekend where people are having their assistance payments cut by about $200/m cuz the govt doesnt have enough money.. for someone that is really poor and just barely surviving, that is a huge cut.. but hey, as long as the Prez & his family have a nice trip, its all worth it, i guess.. [8|]

Don't believe the costs of the trip. Sarah Palin, among others, was making all kinds of ridiculous claims about the cost of one of Obama's trips to India, saying it would cost $200 mil per day. http://www.snopes.com/politics/obama/india.asp

I dont particularly believe the high side numbers but reports are that he needed to ship bulletproof vehicles, etc with him cuz apparently Africa doesnt have this stuff.. whatever the trip does eventually cost.. was it actually necessary? especially since the govt is cutting back so severely in areas where govt money is needed? It just seems to me that there is something wrong with this picture.. just sayin'

The presidential limo is always shipped to where he goes. But it is shipped by USAF transport plane so the cost is minimal.

We'll have to end in disagreement then, Lucy, because a proper expression of my contempt for those who see the IRS scandal through Obama's pubic hair is going to be WAY beyond the guidelines of this forum.

Lucylastic -> RE: Gotta love Yahoo! (6/23/2013 6:53:27 PM)

well Issas pubes must be awfully irritating too sweetie!!!
Lets leave it at that eh?

ShaharThorne -> RE: Gotta love Yahoo! (6/23/2013 6:59:18 PM)

That has the potential of a riot...remember the LA riots when the cops were found not guilty...

TheHeretic -> RE: Gotta love Yahoo! (6/23/2013 8:02:19 PM)

Issa? Why do I care what he's got to say about anything, any more than you concern yourself with Hank Johnson believing that islands float?

Heretic, I am with you, although the field office where the investigations into the right wing groups started said that they did it on their own, and it was a republican manager who said that (he claimed he was a republican, I claim I am from a planet 400 ly from here, but we know my claim is not true.)

My question is that if they thought it necessary at the field office level to check out right wing groups, why was it not necessary to check out left wing groups as well?

I admit I voted for Obama twice, I am sorry but there was no way in heaven or hell I was going to vote for a Mormon.

As for yahoo news, until they actually put real journalists on the payroll, I trust them about as much as I do FOX and MSNBC, and I am a liberal green republican democrat.

Meaning I am pro life, pro gun, pro sane immigration reform

and pro alternate fuels and energy, pro environment,

pro higher taxes on the wealthy, real affordable health care (in other words, fix obama care or start the fuck over)

I try to avoid the Birthers, the Warmers, (or whatever they're calling themselves this week) the Truthers and the UFO people!
It does absolutely no good to try to have any type constructive argument with them.
Their brains are set in concrete.
