How many states have exchanges set up? I thought a lot of states were fighting that..

tazzygirl -> RE: Massive Fraud in 3... 2... 1 (7/9/2013 10:35:37 PM)

In the states that wont set it up themselves, the feds step in and set one up for them. What also wont happen in those states is the medicaid expansion. Arizona is one such state that found a way around that little rule. The Gov there expanded medicare to cover those the state government refused to add to the medicaid rolls.

I have always said that Obamacare was fucked up from the word go, after all the bullshit trying to make everyone happy, they created a law that basically means that everyone is fucked.

And dont tell me that the Republicans have offered anything better. Lets face it, affordable health care for both sides of the fence is about as likely as me being the only winner for both the power ball and mega millions when both of them are worth over a half billion after taxes.

relaxing it gets everyone to take a bite of that yummy red apple!

the whole point is to get everyone indoctrinated into the system as I said how many times. Its another government hotel calaifornia deal once you check in you can never check out. much like the social security program that the jig is pretty much up on and everyone sees the fraud, this is just the newer bigger better deal!

more like same shit different day.

Just using common sense. If car insurers were forced to insure anybody who applied, regardless of their driving record, even a moron could reason rates would have to go UP for the good drivers, to cover increased costs for bad drivers.

Same principal applies to health insurance. Rates for the healthy, responsible people will have to go up to cover the increased costs inncured by people with unhealthy lifestyles. Whats so hard to understand? Even with a single payer, costs would eventually revert back to the taxpayer. (newsflash! government money comes from the taxpayer)

The greedy corporations that run this country won't allow Congress to vote yes on anything that will cut costs because cutting costs will cut their profits. That's why the health care law takes care of one issue and not the other.

I presume you will be signing up to work nothing?

Ie., if its OK politically to deprive one group of people of the fruit of their labors (greedy corporations) it (sooner or later) will be ok to deprive you of the right to make whatever you make.

What came out at the end was not what Obama wanted.... as far as saying what she did, Republicans agreed with her.

As far as affordable, I view what is happening as affordable. People with pre-existing conditions can find, and afford, insurance. Poor workers can find, and keep, insurance that doesnt lock them into a low paying job, keeping them from being able to look for better opportunities. Its not Free, but it is Affordable... far more so than the system before.

You may not like it... and its not what I wanted either... but its still better than what we had.

Snicker.

I didn't have insurance before. Couldn't afford it. Don't go to the dr unless I pay cash. Won't be able to afford Obamacare in in the future, either.
Even if I could afford it - I will be DAMNED if I ever buy into Obamacare. Fine me. Throw me in jail if you want. Obamacare is failing, and will fail because there are a lot of people that feel the way I do.

You will never get the 'young' healthy people to pay for for the massive boondoggle that is Obamacare.

Desi said it right. Obama knew that they didn't have the money for national healthcare. So they tried to finesse the issue. Rather than paying for it as a govt program they passed a law that shifted the cost for the poor and indigent on those people that already had health care - namely the people with insurance such as Medicare and those with employer provided health.

But guess what - those evil small businesses saw the threat to their businesses and reacted rationally - instead of full time employees they cut employees hours whenever possible and moved them to part time.

Cut upper management salaries are you have those who are uninsured covered completely. Cut CEO salaries and you can cover the rest. Between hospital organizations, insurance companies, those providing riders, no longer having to cover workman's medical comp, ect ect ect, the money is there. You just have to look beyond your political blinders to see it.

Naaa.. the insurance industry is already drying up. Might wanna check out the exchange information to see how many companies went scrambling for contracts and how many didnt make the cut.

There is a method, its short sighted people that cant see it.

Something they were doing already.

But a new report finds that employers were cutting health benefits and workers’ hours long before Obamacare was even an idea.
According to data compiled by the Employee Benefit Research Institute (EBRI), large employers have increasingly been turning to part-time workers for their labor. Between 2007 and 2011, the percentage of workers employed in part-time jobs increased from 16.7 percent to 22.2 percent of the work force. That means that workers’ hours have also been declining, since using more part-time workers lets companies scale back on how many hours those employees can work.

(don't know what he said, but if this following is any part of it, wrong)

Obama knew that they didn't have the money for national healthcare.

Uh, Medicare was expanded. And medicare is paid for from government trust funds.

Innumerates shouldn't lecture people in areas that are not only not factual, not coherent and not factual, but any area that will make them appear to be buffoons, since it destroys an already non-extant credibility.

Further, they is us, or maybe you haven't noticed that you are still not part of the confederacy.
