In Bristol we have a Clay Bottom.

There's Wetwang in Yorkshire.

Anyone interested in strange place-names can do no better than consult "The Meaning of Liff" by Douglas Adams and John Lloyd. Highly recommended.

There's a 'Twatt' in Scotland.

I always thought 'Upper Ramsbottom' was quite funny.

In Sheffield there is a street called 'Letsby Avenue' which houses one of the police buildings (I suspect a high-ranking copper with a good sense of humour had a hand in that one)

And not so much funny as lovely - in Scotland again, a tiny area called 'Rest-and-be-thankful'
