My name is Joseph and I'm from Southern California :) I'm new here and to the actual lifestyle, but I've been slowly discovering my kinks one piece at a time. Welcome to the forums.

The Los Angeles area has a very active community and a massive amount of events/socials/seminars. You may find it easier to beat the static to noise factor of online, by attending.

There is an Inland Empire social, Threshold SMUs, NextGen groups etc.

If you go to Fetlife and type your city into the search box, then look for groups or events - you will see everything from discussion groups, ice cream socials and whip practice in the park.

Welcome to CM and the forums the discussion side.

A few suggestions for you....

1- You have a good start to your profile but you need to make it more one that the Domme's will want to read. Tell them more on what your likes are in the vanilla world your enjoyments other than sex that is. But do not make an all about me profile or all about your D/s likes and dislikes. Maybe read a few other subs profiles and see how they have wrote theirs and maybe take some ideas to use in yours. I also find the dark green background makes it harder to read.

2- Head down to the Mistress, Master and sub/slave thread's and maybe join in some of the discussions. The only ones I might say beware of is Politics and Religion unless you like getting into some debates.

3- Use the search on this side ( little button up there on top ^^^^ on the right hand side) if you have some questions as they may have already been asked...or ask away. Please just watch the dates on the threads and do not respond to anything that is more than three months old....as the Mod's are not found of us doing so. You can always start a new one with your question.

4- Check out ResidentSadist book list, its a great list and can help you get info on WIITWD or go to general BDSM thread and there is a good book list there as well.

Its nice to have you join us here on the forums and hopefully you will stick around and join in on some of the discussions. Do beware some peeps are super kewl on this side and some not so kewl. Have a thick skin and you will do fine. Hope you enjoy your time here.
