as in years later. You got away with it at the time- but looking back you were an ass.

not so much a lie, but when I was 18 I was seeing a married man. he left his wife, not for me but in the end I went with him. I have regretted that ever since because of what it must have done to her. I was very flattered by the attention of a 31yr old guy, but I grew up very quickly and realised that flattery means nothing at someone else's expense. i'm deeply ashamed of myself for that and if I could take it back I would.

I hate lies and lying myself just isn't worth how bad it makes me feel to do it. the last time I lied was quite a few years ago. I mostly withheld information because I couldn't say what I needed to. I really wanted to tell the truth but was put in a position by the other person where I couldn't. I don't regret what I lied for, it was most certainly worth it, but I hate the fact that I was put in that position in the first place, and in turn felt so crap about lying. I actually have plenty of reasons to justify what I did, but it sure as hell does not sit right with me and never will.

I see lying as having a lack of respect for the person you are lying to. may be in the end that is why I did what I did; i'd lost respect for the other person. instead of fighting and doing the right thing I didn't because I didn't think the other person was worth the fight anymore. still makes me feel crap though. I hate being lied too as well. it really does make me feel as though i'm worth nothing to the person lying to me. it's even worse when they actually break their word too by doing it. I not thought enough of to have the truth, and not respected enough to keep their word. that is far worse than a lot of things that you could do to me. that's why I hate lying myself; I know how bad I feel when others do it so easily to me.
