I am new to these message boards and don't wish to start a controversial topic but I find myself drawn to the idea of race play. I am not even totally sure if my thoughts or needs fall under the BDSM umbrella.

I am a very submissive, passive, masochistic white male. I suffer from "white guilt" from not only the horrible crimes committed by my ancestors durring the hundreds of years of  the enslavement of Black People but the continued oppression, racism and prejudice inflicted against Black People by whites today.

I am a strong believer that Reparations for Slavery are owed and I believe a form of personal Reparations to a Black Lady would ease some of my guilt by simply making Her life a little easier or more comfortable.

I just wonder what others think about domestic service, pain, humiliation, degredation etc, when the underlying drve is based on race.

Honestly I think that maybe BDSM isnt the best place for you you sound volnerable and confused. Haveing guilt about something you have little or no controll over isnt healthy though I know we all have it from time to time, makeing a choice like this based on guilt is never a good road to go down. I sugest in my opinion you see a profetional like a therapist to help ease your guilt and find out why it is you feel the way you do rather then going to such extremes..... This life is about fantasy and want and need and baout fufilling your deisres to be happy it isnt ment to be a punishment to apease guilt. I fear that you will wind up being very hurt that someone will take advantage of your emotions and it happens a lot around here unfortunetly.

So unless beeing a sub/slave is something you want and need in your heart because it makes you happy because you get sexual charge from it and it fills that need deep in you then dont go into it, doing it out of guilt is the wrong reason

Umm, ok,   I would participate in a 'black rights' march but what is wrong with what you believe.   I'd advise that you certainly express your deeply altruistic personal reasons to any prospective Domme. Who knows, you are doing that here.

Reparations for one race dominated by the white patriarchal society is absurd.  What of the Native Americans, or the Chinese railroad slaves, or perhaps the Irish that were endentured slaves to the railroad.  I understand that "slavery" was abolished and the majority were African Americans, but what of all the other cultures that were turned to slaves to pay for their way to America?

My point is I think it is wrong to single out one race and pay them for their service, when so many others were destroyed and turned to slaves for debts or pleasure.

Something to think about hmmmmm

i guess loki is saying you shouldn't restrict your choice of partners to blacks alone, DUmber. at least not for the entire historical slavery reason.

you should maybe have read the entire post.... I told him IF he wasnt in it for kink ect that maybe a therapist would be a wise idea... if this is a kink of his I sau go for it nothing wrong with a kink if no one is hurt... but HE is saying that he is doing this becuase he feels guilty that isnt a kink thing!!! and it has me conserned!!!

I did not intend to make this a political or moral post about Reparations, although I do have strong feelings they are owed and would be happy to share my feelings privately

I also agree that any masochistic desires are somewhat abnormal according to the professionals. I do feel I fit the description of masochist for the most part. I enjoy pain, suffering and get pleasure from servitude but my enjoyment is not always sexual. I suffer from erectile dysfunction. But yes I do get satisfaction from my actions.

I was born submissive and masochistic and have tried to understand it my entire life. These types of open disscusions often help. But again when race enters the equation the dynamics seem to change.

I also agree that this type of play can cross some lines and open up the possibility for a more serious abuse.
