Yes, the support is the submissive's face. I wouldn't want to sit on my knees for hours either. I suppose this should probably be done with the Dominant's back up against a cushiony wall or something.

Just to toss my two cents in...from a professional point of view. The difference between face sitting and queening is why you are doing it.
Pro stand point - face sitting is about getting the submissive/client off. Timing, up and down, get him/her excited, when they get off you stop.
I am a queen stand point - Queening is about my comfort. My joy. You just sit there, lay there, hang there (whatever) and do what I tell you to do, even if what I tell you to do is nothing.

I suspected you might want to use ear plugs. I do also have some nice noise cancelling ear buds that can be connect to an Ipod or MP3 player.
