With sufficient IT experience, the OP would:

1. Know how to figure out how to contact the site owners.

2. Realize the futility of this as webmasters are extremely protective of their code.

One does have to wonder how an IT person doesn't know how to contact the site owners lol.

I don't think I'd trust someone who couldn't do something so simple that even a monkey could do it.

I wasn't saying that the OP was necessarily the right guy for the job. I was just saying that 'How can I pitch in?' is a refreshing change of attitude to 'You guys are sucky, change the site to suit me'.

Thousands of sites still use the model for the forum. Thats for a reason, it works.
WHile search is not so good, everything else works just fine, leave it alone, dammit.
it goes down but thats not the software, thats traffic and hardware.
the other side, I dont use much
IF I had the talent to remodel CM I would open my own alternative site.
and reap the benefits of the loss to CM
Its probably a good thing I dont
