What are you chirping on about it is on youtube, same as your shit. MAINSTREAM....hell even my momma knows about that, she calls it a nintendo.

naughtynick81 -> RE: Feminist song openly calls for violence against men (8/29/2013 3:09:57 PM)

If you people can cite me and prove to me that it would be just as acceptable in the mainstream to make music videos that are about shooting women in the vulva, well I will stand wrong. If not, I rest my case.

Sooooo. Some wanna be "singer" whom no one has ever even heard of does a home music video where she shows off her intellectual ability to rhyme "glock" with "clock." 3rd grade lines such as- "I took out my glock and shot him in the cock." [:(]

Well, at least it didn't happen after a disco, which took place in Frisco.

[:(] (That's just sad.) And you think this is the same thing as the sexist violence, economic discrimination and political/religious oppression that women all over the world are faced with and killed for??? ROFL........ok. I'm condemning it. Ladies, your attention please.... No more music videos with bad rhyming and assaults on peckers. Its very very very very bad. (Trust me...it really IS bad.) Feel better now? Sorry we women didn't pay more attention to this since its been posted on youtube a whole 4 hours, but we were a little distracted by women in the middle east getting shot in the street while trying to go to school. (We women really must get our priorities straight) We must first deal with bad songs about shooting penises then deal with ACTUAL REAL LIFE WOMEN getting shot.

And this would be an excellent example of why I am not a feminist anymore... for any number of reasons actually.

Imagine a song about a male getting unwanted attention from fat chicks so he went around shooting them in the vulva?

Kreator - Pleasure to Kill

Your body is so pretty but how will it look
When my perverted lust is stilled
No one to save you, no parents or friends
Because they’ve already got killed
My only aim is to take many lives
The more the better I feel
My only pleasure is to hear many cries
From those tortured by my steel
The color of your blood from your open body
Is all I wanted to see
Tasting the blood from your lips as you die
Means satisfaction to me
Pleasure to kill

Crickets....

Lana Shea- 7 Listeners on Last FM.
Torsofuck- 10,866 Listeners on Last FM.
Anal Cunt (whose songs include "Got an Office Job for the Sole Purpose of Sexually Harassing Women", "You Were Too Ugly to Rape, So I Beat the Shit Out of You" and "I Became a Counselor So I Could Tell Rape Victims They Asked for It")- 100,849 Listeners on Last FM.

What a strange definition of "mainstream" you have.

Go on then, name the mainstream media outlet that is playing Lana Shea videos or the song.

Moonhead -> RE: Feminist song openly calls for violence against men (8/29/2013 3:30:28 PM)

I Sent Your Rapist A "Thank You" Card (Cannibal Corpse)
Stan (Eminem)

This sort of thing isn't really the big feminist beef with pop music, in any case: when an all female band, as shitfaced ugly as Metallica, The Black Crowes, Motorhead or Lynyrd Skynnyrd gets a number one single on both sides of the Atlantic, then a case could be made that the music industry is being controlled by the misandrist conspiracy...

Lucy, it's not a mainstream music video. It's an 80s underground metal song. That's my point.

Anyway, why is it oh so acceptable for feminists to jump up and down about lad mags in the UK but yet it's considered wrong for a man to complain about music videos that incites mutilation on men's genitals?

Can the female favouritism get any more obvious?

mnottertail -> RE: Feminist song openly calls for violence against men (8/29/2013 3:32:25 PM)

Rick Ocasek is no bloody Beau Brummel, come to that.

naughtynick81 -> RE: Feminist song openly calls for violence against men (8/29/2013 3:33:22 PM)

Apocalypso

This video has been on my TV at least twice from what I've seen in the past week.

Them Torsofuck songs would never be showing up on mainstream TV.

That said, Torsofuck is a lot older so of course they have more fans for now.

You still haven't explained how a video for Lana '7 plays' Shea is in any way mainstream. You do realise that anyone can make a video for YouTube? It's kinda the point. I apologise for crushing your dreams if you thought that Simon Cowell was personally vetting them all.

Who's said it's wrong? Actually, what people are reacting to is the fact you're a whiny one track pony who is openly resorting to lying about what is "mainstream" to try and advance his positions about how feminists are all out to get him personally.

Stop trying to change the subject Nick. The topic at discussion is why you believe that Lana Shey is representative of the mainstream.

mnottertail -> RE: Feminist song openly calls for violence against men (8/29/2013 3:35:28 PM)

Quit watchin BBC1 and turn it to BBC2 and pouring it out of your bloody gub, then; mate.

It's a record that was released by a band signed to a major label, rather than a homemade youtube video. If there was a feminist conspiracy running the music industry, somebody on here might have heard this song before you started whining about it.

As I explained above, she is just new so of course she hasn't got as many supporters yet. Secondly, her songs view on mainstream TV. The other bands you compared wouldn't have their sexist songs viewing on mainstream TV. This is what you keep ignoring.

Which tv channel would this be? (It had better not be web tv or I'll just mock you. Actually, I've decided to do that ever).

Christ, you really know nothing about the music industry, no?

7 listeners isn't what you get with an artist that's about to break through. That's just someone fucking about. Local bands with an entirely regional audience are generally getting a bit over 50.
