SpyUnderCover -> "Blurred Lines" Parody: Femdom? (9/5/2013 12:29:53 PM)

Amidst the brouhaha over the song/video "Blurred Lines," several parodies have been made. This one was just brought to my attention, and it strikes me as having a femdom slant, intended or not. What do you think? I counted ten things in this video that are full on classic femdom.

It's working on my screen. Did it not come through for you?

Yep, that's the one!

(If you put your cursor over the words "This one" in my original message, a link should be indicated. Hmm ... )

Durp... now I see it. I claim blond.
Interesting takes on the video though. I am not at all insulted by the original. People have used nudity to sell everything, and young women sell. WTF? Everybody got paid.

kalikshama -> RE: "Blurred Lines" Parody: Femdom? (9/5/2013 1:14:18 PM)

I do see the parody as FemDom but the original as sexist:

OoO...that was funnnnn. [sm=mistress.gif]

Yeah, it's been too long. I'm having withdraw symptoms. [:D] That video almost baited me into frenzy.

LookieNoNookie -> RE: "Blurred Lines" Parody: Femdom? (9/6/2013 8:24:39 PM)

Boring, at best.

ResidentSadist -> RE: "Blurred Lines" Parody: Femdom? (9/6/2013 8:40:07 PM)

I think the classic blonde technofail to find the OP's link in a thread about "defined lines" was more entertaining than the video that bashes chauvinistic stereotyping in "blurred lines" by using a bunch of female supremacy cliche's. Using one cliche to bash another just didn't seem to come off well. But yes, a lot of classic Domme cliche's in the video.

That was great! My favorite part was at 1:50. [8D]

Sheela22 -> RE: "Blurred Lines" Parody: Femdom? (9/9/2013 8:41:22 PM)

This was even more sexist.. I dont get feminists at all..

I like Kimmel's version way better lol

I liked Kimmel's version too.

FR

I thought it was Justin Timberlake who did 'Blurred Lines', not this Robin Dense bloke. They sure look the same. Confusing.

RedMagic1 -> RE: "Blurred Lines" Parody: Femdom? (9/12/2013 6:26:18 PM)

Timberlake, like Lady Gaga or Christina Aguilera, has serious musical chops. Thicke is a charismatic pop artist who wanted to write a fun album, hired Pharrel, and the two of them came up with a super catchy song. The guy deserves his success, IMO, but he isn't in the same category as Justin Timberlake.

If you'd like to see Timberlake showing some depth, this video is a good one.

Red,

Have to hand it to you. That Timberlake video is GOOD! Never realized he could be such a serious musician. Great video! Thanks for posting.

As far as the OP post, no doubt it is a parody of Fem Dom ... yet it also comes from a RAP environment ... as does "Blurred Lines".

Simply low class music appealing to the lowest common denominator. Demonstrating a lack of real status and education. Makes em feel better. So I say, let em Rap.

When I viewed both Blurred Lines the parody video, I saw egotistical arrogance. The same egotistical arrogance that comes from a lack of success in life.

My conclusion ... not to worry ... ROFL

I've never seen this video, thank you for posting. Although I prefer Buckley's version of that song, I haven't heard or seen anything from Timberlake I haven't enjoyed. He is a truly talented entertainer.

For the parody in the OP, I actually found it more offensive than the original. The femdom tone is definite, and not the issue with me.
It's the hypocrisy that I have a problem with.

Either way, the naked women in the original and half-naked men in the parody were enjoyable to look at.

PeonForHer -> RE: "Blurred Lines" Parody: Femdom? (9/13/2013 6:55:24 AM)

A surprise to me, too. Hmmm. Thanks for that, Red.
