So I am another year older today. I woke up to breakfast in bed, sexual affections and gifts. Manly gifts. Not a tie or some wild airy fairy gifts, but I got a bottle of my favorite scotch and a fine cigar. I got to tell you, nothing makes a man feel better than treating him like a man and giving him some manly pleasures. Life is good.

Some taste smokey like they put out a campfire with it and reclaimed the liquid. Others taste too green like bitter boiled grains. The ones that taste nice to me have a well rounded grain flavor and a mature hint of that oak flavor, almost nutty. And they don't just warm my tummy, they warm my soul when I drink them. Some scotch is aged in seaside warehouses . . . they say when it is old enough, you can taste the ocean air because the oak barrels breath a little.
