Yep, you guessed it. It's our fault....

Reverse engineer this tragic mess, and you find that it starts with a warming globe... So this is our mess too. We're still cranking away at the carbon pump, and no nation is as culpable as the United States — and as long as we do, we'll be at least in some small part, responsible for the starving, rioting masses all the way across the globe. ~Source

It was our fault back in 1933 too, due to the introduction of evil Western yo-yos.

Drought and severe cold is disastrously affecting the cattle in Syria, and the Moslem chiefs at Damascus have attributed the wrath of the heavens to the recent introduction of yo-yos. They say that while the people are praying for rain to come down from above the yo-yo goes down, and before reaching the ground springs up through the subtle pull of the string.

The chiefs interviewed the Prime Minister and exposed the evil influence of yo yos, so they were immediately banned. Today the police paraded the streets, and confiscated the yo-yos from everyone thev saw playing with them. The drought is still on.
~Source

The more things change, the more they stay the same.

According to one of my Aunts (she is a bit of a flake... alright she is batshit crazy) my birth in 1961 heralded the decline of human civilization on the onset of massive natural disasters.

So actually, everything that happened after 6-15-61 is my fault.

She even insisted to everyone that would listen that I was the one responsible for the assassination of JFK.

For the record, my aunt has lived in a special home for those people divinely touched by god since she tried to exorcise a demon from her older brother. The angels who take care of her wear white coats to prove they are pure.

The earthly term for her form of divine blessing is Paranoid Schizophrenia.

In other words, K, I have to tell you that your sources are wrong.

Your Aunt was wrong, jlf. According to my ex, everything is my fault.

Isn't Syria mostly desert? I remember what the late great Sam Kinison said about the subject of deserts and a lack of food.

My state, Arizona, has a mostly desert climate, with an area of 113,990 square miles and a population of about 6.5 million. There is some ranching and irrigated farming here, but we also have to get a lot of our food from Mexico, California, and elsewhere in the U.S. Some even believe that there's too many people in this part of the country already, as the limited water supply just can't handle such a large population.

In contrast, Syria has an area of 71,479 square miles and a population of about 22.5 million, so it's an area considerably smaller than Arizona but with over three times the population. How did their population get so large and unsustainable in the first place? Is it because the West has been sending food and medicine to these countries for decades, thus leading to increases in population which put even further strains on the land and resources?

Jlf, you little bastard!
I just got a *Christmas gift* idea for the "warmers" (or whatever they're calling themselves this week) that will go along nicely with their beanies with the propellors on top.

Kerry: Nations That Back Syria Strike in 'Double Digits'

Secretary of State John Kerry said on Saturday that the number of countries now ready to take military action against Syrian President Bashar Assad had reached "double digits."

"There are a number of countries in the double digits, who are prepared to take military action,'' Kerry said at a news conference after a meeting with European Union foreign ministers in Paris.

WH Chief of Staff: U.S. Has No Military Allies for Syria Strike

The United States has no military allies in its plan to launch missile attacks against Syria as punishment for the country's use of chemical weapons, White House Chief of Staff Denis McDonough said Sunday.

McDonough conceded the fact on CNN's "State of the Union" after persistent questioning from host Candy Crowley, who asked him whether President Barack Obama has secured international military support for the strike

(In my best John Kerry voice) "Well Luv-EE, if ..."OTHERS" want to do it then Wuh-EEEE should tuoo."
Only there's no ,....others unless you count the French and their one warship.
This is called,..."The Hard Sell."
Or,...cognative dissonance.
Or,..."The American People and what THEY think be damned!"

Then either Obama's Secretary of State or his White House Chief of Staff is LYING! Given the LIES John Kerry told during his testimony under oath to a U.S. Senate Committee in 1971 shortly after he returned from meeting with foreign heads of state in Paris I'd say it's Kerry who is lying - again.

I was wondering when someone was going to bring Carrie Nation into the discussion.

When phonetics works, it really works.

In any case, we can see that Kerry wields his hatchet every bit as good as Carrie did.

I think I see the problem here. Kerry just doesn't have the quality of go-go dancers around him to get the (however nebulous) message across. But I'm sure this will all get sorted by the historians when we are presented numerous books about "Honest GW".
