Here's a poem I wrote for her in 2008 ... my elusive mystery woman.

Desires of a tired heart…. Simple desires, wishes…….
… to hold… to be held …
….to hold you in my strong arms….
help dissolve all the concerns of a tired day….
take you to a place ….
a safe place where you can just be…
….to hold your head close to my strong chest
strong enough to stand by you in the raging storm ….
that life sometimes brings
….to hold you close to my soft heart……
soft and tender…….
To wipe your tears …..
that life sometimes brings
….to be held in your soft tender arms
assuring me that you are there…
no matter what….
….rest my head on your bosom…..
Taking me to a timeless space…
And spaceless time….
….to be held in your arms because it’s me…
not because who I could be….
I am there… in a space …..
where boundaries – race, looks, age, distance, time, do not exist…
where preconceptions, bartering, demands or preconditions do not exist…
where integrity, giving, understanding, nurturing exist….
where laughter.. play… childlikeness… simplicity exist…
where You & I are safe…..
Safe enough, for you to be you and me to be me.
And all that is beautiful can be…
I am there in that space
I am in that Space…..
Will you join me …
To share all that beautiful can be
