Hum, apparently Cuba, with dictatorial control of guns has a higher homicide rate than the US.

http://www.nationalreview.com/article/347263/dishonest-gun-control-debate

Really total number of homicides by guns in the US 9,960, Cuba 104 homicides by guns. Where do you get your information, oh that is right, pro gun alter right wing nuts.

http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-srv/special/nation/gun-homicides-ownership/table/

He didn't say gun homicides, you may be unaware of this but you just as dead if it's a knife as you are if it's a gun.

Oh really?

So now who is caught in lie?

Jees, are you finally admitting that you lie a lot here?

Patrolman Jonathan Molina succumbed to injuries sustained 10 days earlier when he was beaten by a juvenile on Trowbridge Drive, near Route 54.

Patrolman Molina was off duty when he observed three juveniles vandalize his car. He confronted the three and identified himself as a police officer. As he spoke to them one of the juveniles punched him, knocking him to the ground. The teen continued to to beat him even after knocking him unconscious. Patrolman Molina suffered a fractured skull, internal head injuries, and facial fractures.

All three juveniles fled the scene but were apprehended. The subject who had beaten him was originally charged with assaulting a public servant but was later charged with capital murder of a peace officer following Patrolman Molina's death.

Patrolman Molina was a U.S. Marine Corps combat veteran in both Iraq and Afghanistan. He had served with the El Paso Police Department for four years. He is survived by his wife.

I served with Molina for a few months when we were both recalled and assigned to 2nd Battalion 8th Marines Regiment. I was exempt and sent home early do to the agency I was with in AZ being undermanned and requested that I be allowed to stay on duty with them. I was his roommate while we were active and he had a way of motivating me to get myself back in Marine Corps shape even though I knew I was going to be sent back home. He was an awesome Marine as well as a very proud Police Officer. He often told me stories about being back in El Paso and how he couldn't wait to get back there and be patrolling the streets again. We talked about getting together sometime after his activation was over but never got back in touch though I often thought about it. It was funny how the 3 Marines recalled and assigned to our company were all law enforcement with Molina being Patrol myself being Detention and the other being Corrections. We used to joke with each other about who was in the better department kind of like how all the military branches do but in the end we were all on the same side working towards the same goal. Just a reminder that life is short and that there are those who are willing to take the risk everyday of living an even shorter life gives me much pride and appreciation in being an American. Officer Molina had sustained no serious bodily harm, until he was unconscious and unable to defend himself, the killer was an "unarmed" teenager.

An El Paso police officer allegedly knocked unconscious and then beaten violently by a 17-year-old died Friday morning at University Medical Center, police said.
Officer Jonathan Molina, 29, who did tours of duty in Iraq and Afghanistan with the Marine Corps, died a little more than nine days after suffering a fractured skull, internal head injuries and facial fractures.
The suspect, Juan Antonio Gonzalez, who had been arrested on suspicion of assaulting an officer, was charged with capital murder on Friday.
Gonzalez, who was being held at the El Paso County Jail, saw his bond raised from $200,000 to $5 million.
"It is with a sad heart today that the El Paso Police Department is notifying you of the death of Officer Jonathan Molina," said Police Chief Greg Allen, who paused to control his emotions during a news conference at police headquarters. "Officer Molina will be sorely missed."
Based on three complaint affidavits, including one released F
The silver Pontiac Grand Prix had "fresh" scratches on its right side, hood and bumper.
Molina left his home to confront Juan Antonio Gomez, who allegedly scratched the car. Police did not provide an age for Gomez, who, as of Friday afternoon, had not been charged with a crime.
Gomez, Gonzalez and the other youth, identified as Alan Medrano, 19, ignored Molina and kept walking east on the sidewalk next to Trowbridge.
Molina got into his car and followed them a way before parking in front of a home at 4120 Trowbridge.
After getting out of his car, Molina identified himself as a police officer and confronted Gomez.
Molina was "attempting to begin an investigation," the affidavit says.
Sometime during the confrontation, Molina asked a bystander to call 911.
The situation began to escalate when Gonzalez stepped between the officer and Gomez.
Molina "pushed" Gonzalez out of the way and redirected his attention to Gomez, the most recent affidavit says.
Then Gonzalez allegedly punched Molina in the face with his fist, stunning the officer.
Gonzalez then quickly grabbed Molina around his knees and jerked his legs upward, the affidavit says.
That caused Molina "to fall backwards and head first onto the concrete driveway," the affidavit says. The blow to Molina's head knocked him unconscious, it says.
Gonzalez then "squatted over (Molina) and began to beat (him) multiple times around the face and head," the affidavit says.
Bystanders approached the group and the youths "fled the scene," the affidavit says.riday with the capital murder charge, here is what happened:
The incident started on Sept. 25 at 4:53 p.m. when Molina, who was off-duty, saw a young man scratch his personal vehicle with a piece of metal. The vandal was with two other man, one of whom was Gonzalez.

Since no firearm was used or even mentioned in the Molina/Gonzalez case, what do your posts #1367 and #1368 have to do with gun rights or the 2nd amendment?

NO, I am numerate, and actually read beyond a kindergarden comprehension level, and have studied the platitudes, inactions and vacous actions of Mr. Hoover as president during the depression, I believe the poor fool was as useless and inept a bureaucrat  as history makes him out to be.

Hoover extended the size and scope of the federal government in six major areas:
(1) federal spending
(2) agriculture
(3) wage policy
(4) immigration
(5) international trade
(6) tax policy

Anything else, in the way of your opera bouffe?

And I got that way back, your clownishness. Hoover was pure government bloat a hogtrougher from way back. Jerry Fords WIN campaign was a real laser weapon comparatively, yanno, with the buttons and stuff.

This is a general reply to the post. Being a gun rights advocate I'll toss in my opinion. You can steal anything I own (this is not an invite), it's insured. What you can't do is threaten the good health and welfare of myself, family, loved ones and friends or innocent people without reprisal. Aside from hunting my firearms give me the option of protecting my right to live putting protection of that welfare in my own hands. It's not perfect but it's something. It is my right not only as a citizen but as a human being. Had armed individuals been present in London with concealed carry weapons the causality count may have been lower. There will never be a utopian society where bad people don't exist no matter how badly we wish for it. Not in my lifetime. So as long as I'm here I'll carry the option to fight back on the street in public and in my home. Unless someone decides to make myself or Innocents around me a victim, you will never know I'm armed. All the discussion from the left fails to mention ultimately someone is still going to have guns or other weapons. Leave them to the government and they'll protect us? Look around do you really want to depend on that trainwreck? They (the left) can be an unarmed victim if they choose but they will not choose for me.

I'm reminded of Monty Python's "Black Knight." " Tis only a scratch! I've had worse, come back you pansy! Oh, oh, I see! Running away, eh? You yellow bastards! Come back here and take what's coming to you! I'll bite your legs off! "

I've dealt with people as wacko or more wacko than the Oklahoma guy, without a weapon of any sort, and I'm not a big guy. And I awoke from a good sleep next morning.

Some of us can handle it better than others. Especially better than the police (faint praise as that may be).

I agree. I have to admit that I still wake up sweating from bad dreams, all these years later. Do I feel remorse for what I do though ? Not on yer fuckin' life. Would I do it again under the same circumstances ? Damn right !! Without pay this time too, if that was the contract

I'm in agreement with not using deadly force as a first resort. That level of protection is an option when all else fails and mortal danger is imminent.

Have I timed travelled?

Words of advice to the future:
1. Take all the Guns of Americans
2. Beware the orange one he will come bearing dribbling insanity and bring about the End Times
3. So I now have, not two hours, but four years to peel 6 potatoes - things are looking up :)

That aside exactly how many clicks do you need to go back to get to a 4 year old thread. 1 bottle of cheap wet the bed gut rot whiskey or 3? Or do you have to nail the mouse button down then go for a bit of a sleep and see what wonderland awaits when you peep open your eyes, well, after you have cleaned the pool of drunken vomit up.
