Years ago, Dave Barry asked his readers to suggest methods to reduce the deficit.  Of course, "Bomb the Capitol Building" was a common suggestion.  However, the winner made a unique suggestion which was to connect (electrically) the Congresspersons' "naughty bits" to a deficit meter.  As the deficit grew, so would the charge.  If the deficit decreased, so would the electricity.

Since the current crisis (See what I did there?  Well played, Lance) revolves around the debt ceiling which is a crisis only in the sense that the US Gov's debt is too high, we simply connect the debt level to a debt meter...... That way, the debt falls and no longer approaches the ceiling.

Oh, and since the Congress (Representatives and Senators alike) can only leave their descks for a distance equal to the electric leads, we get those above suggestions regarding restroom facilities built in.

Then, we will have a new meaning since our "leaders" will have electrical leads attached. (Well played, Lance!)

My Suggestion would be to place a pole-tax on every non kinky fake kinky outfit sold at Frederick's of Hollywood and K Mart and other places at Halloween.
