does anyone know how many times a scammer is reported until their profile is removed

DarkSteven -> RE: scammers (10/19/2013 9:08:02 AM)

Nope.

kalikshama -> RE: scammers (10/19/2013 10:49:51 AM)

I don't know either, but I believe it is like Craigslist in that the reports have to come from different people - 50 reports from the same person will not count any more that 1 report.

LadyPact -> RE: scammers (10/19/2013 11:33:58 AM)

Nope. It's not common knowledge and any female on this site can tell you why.

One of the reasons they don't tell you how many reports it takes is because some men will use reporting women as a vindictive measure. The number of how many reports it takes isn't low. This stops people from reporting others for frivolous reasons, like rejecting their advances or some kind of personal grudge, and creating a dozen profiles so they can "report" someone twelve different times.

Don't think some men do that? There's a thread on the same page of this very forum right now where a guy is creating multiple profiles just to harass some chick.

If you've reported a profile for a common scam, just hide the profile that you've reported. You'll never have to see that profile again.

Master the use of the sites block user and hide profile functions and he'll disappear forever!

TNDommeK -> RE: scammers (10/19/2013 3:55:34 PM)

Just hit report if you have issues with scammers. I'm sure if one scammed you, they will scam another and with enough reports, swift action will be taken.

best policy is think with your brain not your cock, and don't pay for something you can get for free. that way you can't be scammed. of cause there's always the huge red words at the top of any pm that tell you not to sent money for any reason to any person on the site.

needles

Yea, I am beginning to believe you have another problem on this site with scammers, especially here in the bible belt. Police here are very corrupt, if you have seen anything about sheriff Byrd in jackson county you know what I mean, and i have read local stories of people being arrested for online solicitation of illegal activities. These stories match up with more than a dozen profiles i find in this area. of course because of the policies here I can not mention the profiles, which i have reported for illegal activities, but they wont be taken down for whatever policy reason. If the police are posting fake profiles on here like 'to catch a predator' and then railroading them, that is not un-like what Byrd has been indited for. When you are making your policies, don't forget that there are more than just profiteering scammers. there are also corrupt local officials that use these sites to trump up charges and advance their careers and political views.

Then why does this site put up with "financial dommes"? I always report them, they never go away.

Please CMail me the names of the profiles that you have reported for illegal activities.

("Illegal activities" should not include any of the following, which has its own reporting system: http://www.collarme.com/personals/scammers.htm )

~FRing it~

I've managed to be on this site since 2006 under my old individual profile and continued on with the couples one I use now. I've successfully managed to not be scammed. It's honestly not that hard to use the hide button. And not that difficult to not send anyone money. Do the opposite of Nike and "Just Don't Do It."

But I do understand and respect what Chi said if it's a profile that contains illegal activities

Yea bc your kink is ok, but other's kinks aren't.[8|]

garyFLR -> RE: scammers (11/7/2013 1:03:58 AM)

I know scammers & just general idiots can be annoying, but, they truly are easy to spot. Just scrape them off with block & hide. I suppose you could report them, but is it really worth the effort. They'll just come back under a different profile. Luckily, I don't get many any more, not being a newbie. Block & hide buttons are the way to go.

Probably for the same reason it puts up with whiny idiots.

I'll go for this as soon as you're willing to provide links from your local news source.

In the meantime, all I can tell you is that anything that I've ever reported that actually WAS ILLEGAL was taken down without hesitation. (Keep in mind, I don't report stuff like fin kink, professionals on either side of the slash, or other things that small minded folks try to label as prostitution.)

I spent five years in the bible belt (GA, specifically) and had no trouble engaging in kink. I have had the cops come when I was flogging someone in Auburn, AL, who basically showed up and ask us to keep the noise down. So, you'll have to forgive Me that I don't buy the excess noise about how a person can't get their kink on in the South.

You had all this cr*p in your intro thread already. Please, if you are going to continually use the word 'indicted', please spell it correctly. The 'c' is silent.
