I'm not a Doctor-(though I play one in the Dungeon hehe) take this advice for what it's worth. As with any delicate tissue/mucus membrane, there can be swelling, irritation, tearing, abrasion or any number of other "side effects" from excessive and/or prolonged/vigorous use. These effects can be diminished with proper care and technique. One big keyword to remember.."Lube, lube, lube" you can NEVER use too much lube when engaging in anal play. Always remember, to go S-L-O-W, and always remember to listen to your partner. If they say it hurts, this really isn't the time to plung on ahead, as it were, just to prove you're the one in control and all powerful (not that anyone here would do that here, mind you...that's just My standard precaution.) Anal play often times touches on deep psychological, primitive sensations-both physical and emotional for some people. This basic consideration to a person's humanity should always be respected.
As for anal play when someone already has hemmoroids, just know, that once you have experienced them, they are not likely to ever go away totally. For anyone who's had them, you know that even a 'vigorous' BM can cause them to flare up. This does not preclude you from enjoying the wonders of anal play. Just that your partner needs to be aware of it, and take more care in the implementation of such exploration.
