he was indeed guilty in the Florida case.

Simplified that for you.

Oh, he was most certainly guilty. The police told him not to follow Trayvon and he did anyways. He went out packing a firearm as a member of a 'non-well regulated militia' rather than a 'neighborhood watch volunteer'. He stalked that kid and assaulted him after making racist comments. And he's had the training to know what to say and not say after a crime has taken place. But because the gun industry needed 'Stand Your Ground' to stay active without challenge to increase their sales in that state, the Republicans helped this obvious criminal escape murder charges! An when your helping an obvious criminal get away with murder (literally and not figuratively), what does that say of your morals? I give an exception to a lawyer and more so to a public defender as they are simply making sure a fair trial takes place for the accused.

You could have asked that question a long time ago, couldn't you?  Now proving he was guilty seems to exceed your capabilities... why is that?

So Florida Republicans protected a criminal for political reasons....

When someone kills another (i.e. MURDER) and never held accountable for it, it just emboldens the individual to break other laws. Since what sort of laws match the seriousness of murder? Since that silly court verdict, he's had run-ins with the law in several states. If your going to say your a 'law abiding citizen with a firearm' that IMPLIES you follow the laws. Whether you agree with them or not, you must follow them. If he keeps up this line of breaking laws so regularly, I think its fair to question whether he was indeed not guilty in the Florida case.

Actually in the Zimmerman and Martin thread that was on here months ago, I asked many questions of those defending him, the 'Stand Your Ground' law, and basic series of events that took place. Frankly if I was on the jury, I would have said he was guilty as charged!

Did I miss the link where all the jury members were republicans? I know you wouldn't make a claim like that without some kind of proof, right? You do understand how the jury system works, right?

I never stated the jury was all Republican. However the state has numerous amounts of Republicans that past that 'Stand Your Ground' law in the first place. The court case Zimmerman was involved in was 'The Test' of the SYG law staying in place in Florida. What did Republicans have to gain by helping a 'neighborhood watch volunteer' defend his life against an evil, menacing, obvious law-breaker that was "...probably up to no good..."? What does the gun industry and the NRA gain by defending Zimmerman in the trial? Both groups had HUGE motivations as it served their agendas.

The Stand Your Ground law as I understand it, simply allows someone to murder someone else with a firearm if they feel the least bit threaten. Which, for some of those paranoid schizophrenic Republicans that isn't much.....

I do believe Zimmerman is a first rate asshole. That said, having heard his gf's 911 call this morning, she did seem as if she was putting on a show for the 911 operator and the public, rather than being afraid of anything.

link

Even during stressful and violent situations, some people remain very calm. It could also just be the shock in the moment like a disbelief that something is happening when one believed something else. Stories of military officers in combat barking out orders to soldiers stopped in absolute fear and/or shock are common in war histories. When natural disasters have taken place, someone is usually shouting to others to do something as the person is overcome with panic that they can do anything on their own. Yeah, there are people that are like this.

I notice that no-one is collecting any legal-defense fund for a poor public-defender-needing piece-of-shit wife beater...

Oh good, the start of a new Zimmerman / Martin thread with an entire big paragraph of absurd totally made up shit to lead off with.

This hatred towards Zimmerman (and everything gun) is bordering on being manic.

It was actually Republicans who instigated the new investigation, the governor and then the attorney general who appointed the special prosecutor.

"SYG allows murder" ? LMAO. at the shear absurdity of that statement.

Oh, don't get my criticism of a piece-of-shit because he's a piece-of-shit coward who needs a gun to feel like a man as criticism of GUNS.

I like guns. Personally, I think Human Civilization topped off beginning with the lever gun and since the 1911 it's been downhill...

But I hate cowards who hide behind them. PLEASE try to keep that straight.

If that was directed at me I don't necessarily wish it would go away but it's old news and around here and it's beating a dead horse with the same BS.

I'm not saying he isn't a dumb ass either because I think he is and I'm not his apologist. It's just that a certain poster above belched out some of the same useless made up crap we were getting from before.

I've said before the whole Zimmy Martin discussion boiled down to people making up facts not in evidence because they wanted so badly for Zim to be found guilty because A) they hate people carrying guns or B) they don't like SYG laws even though it wasn't a SYG case.

Fast reply.......

I can't really be the only one who thinks like this.

If I had managed to shoot another person. Make it through the trial. Bless My lucky stars that I wasn't convicted. (Innocent or not, trial is a roll of the dice.) Have the ability to walk out a free person.........

Wouldn't you think that would be enough to get it knocked into your head to stay the hell out of trouble?

No doubt his defenders will soon start posting that he was just standing his ground again.

If nothing else recent events has shown his quick and vicious temper.

Actually, no. We knew he would have a hard life after his false imprisonment. It would be hard on anyone and he should have been given free counseling and follow-ups for months, maybe even years, for the tragic miss-carriage of justice that ruined his life and his marriage. I don't know anyone who would come out of such an experience with his sense of normalcy in tact and so we can all simply hope and pray he gets the help he deserves and can right his life again. Think of it, he cannot go anywhere without a disguise nor can he even hold a decent job so he is wasting away and it must be very hard and unsettling. Then there are the haters who helped tear his life apart for over a year and now jump on this as some sort of vindication for their crimes against an innocent fellow human being. Those are the real criminals in this story.

Thanks for the laugh........
