ChatteParfaitt -> Need help with best gear sites (11/19/2013 11:40:28 AM)

As some of you know, I have a new blog for those wanting information about BDSM, and as part of that I want to add a list of the best gear sites.

Unfortunately much of what I used to have link wise has been lost. And I thought of going through all the posts in this section and checking out the sites, then I realized I should well, just ask. Sooooooooooo . . .

What do you think are the best gear sites? Why?

Spiritedsub2 -> RE: Need help with best gear sites (11/19/2013 1:00:07 PM)

I've bought things from both www.stockroom.com and from www.extremerestraints.com (the latter is the one linked on the profile side here). Both were good.

ChatteParfaitt -> RE: Need help with best gear sites (11/19/2013 1:09:44 PM)

Thank you.

I've bought from both places and liked both the quality and the service.

Does extremerestraints do anything more than resell the products of others?

Those are all marvelous sites. TY Mummy.

<blows kiss>

How about some corset making sites?

Made to specification floggers and whips?

Candles made for wax play?

kalikshama -> RE: Need help with best gear sites (11/19/2013 5:14:11 PM)

I like sites with reviews like extremerestraints. (Yes, I know reviews can be faked but those are easy to spot.)

For non-specialized sites - Amazon.

What about a section on Make-them-yourself toys?

Oh I will have a make yourself section.

The blog is *very* much a work in progress, I have tons of informational pages to get together.

ChatteParfaitt -> RE: Need help with best gear sites (11/20/2013 4:01:38 AM)

Bumpety Bump.

I really need help with this. The artisans listing here is not very good, most of the sites are down.

I know there is a place in GA (I think) that sells floggers, among other things.

There's a chainmail place I used to buy from, I can't find their site, don't know if their out of business.

I've got nothing for Handmade whips.

Pretty pretty please??

Lucylastic -> RE: Need help with best gear sites (11/20/2013 4:09:42 AM)

Ill go thru my list sometime today Chatte
send them here later:)

ChatteParfaitt -> RE: Need help with best gear sites (11/20/2013 4:11:44 AM)

Thank you, Lucy.

I lost some great bookmarks the pc before list and I'm really struggling here.

theshytype -> RE: Need help with best gear sites (11/20/2013 4:19:37 AM)

I enjoy purchasing items from Etsy. Usually, you can easily tell the handmade stuff from the resale items. Besides being a better quality, there are more unique items and range of prices.

ChatteParfaitt -> RE: Need help with best gear sites (11/20/2013 4:30:36 AM)

Do you have any specific sites in mind, if you please?

Lucylastic -> RE: Need help with best gear sites (11/20/2013 4:39:12 AM)

heres a couple Ive found, while downloading some stuff
http://www.ateliergothique.com/gallery/
http://kinkindustries.com/
http://www.currentpleasures.com/
http://www.nickandmorphia.com/VioletWands.asp
http://www.axovus.com

PS Chatte you have mail:)

no, and some of their stuff they ripped patterns off others and used cheap leather, but I think they now legitimised themselves somewhat with their strict leather line.*cough*

ChatteParfaitt -> RE: Need help with best gear sites (11/20/2013 5:02:11 AM)

Thank you so much Lucy for this and the cmail. I'm going through them now.

Is it really their stuff? I'm under the impression that they aren't ripping patterns off, they are reselling chinese knockoffs that we could buy from the chinese at a fraction of the price.

Yep that's exactly what they usually do. There are some exceptions like the resale of Scott Paul gear who is a local artisan doing high quality stuff. However, all their stuff can be found much cheaper on the site of the original manufacturer ($130 on Scott's own site, $225 on extreme restraints).

So whatever I'm in the market for, whether it's cheap Chinese crap or high quality artisan gear, I know I can find it at least 40% cheaper than extremerestraints every has it.
