As for cloudboy's link, clearly this individual is almost certainly mentally deficient. As for a PB&J sandwich being racist, I would not go that far. I mean Europe has that spread that reminds me of road tar, though I cant remember the name. Vegemite or some such, and that is not considered racist, chemical warfare is more appropriate name for the stuff. If PB&J is racist, what about chili, beef bar be que (not that barbarian pork stuff) sauteed rattlesnake, or cats head biscuits?

Gad, it pushes my buttons when someone tosses out "racist" when actually meaning "cultural preferences". Yes, pb&j is very white bread wasp American. So what? Different cultures have different concepts of comfort food and they are worth exploring. Why denigrate an item as racist when it is simply a cultural icon for one culture? In Japan, mochi balls would be recognized as a childhood treat but I doubt 5% of Americans would even know that they are. Pb&j would be recognized by the majority of those raised in the U.S. since the 1950s as a childhood staple. Instead of making the kid's lunch menu a political football, get some input from the kids and the PTA on lunch choices. Some schools might have a higher preference for tortillas and cerviche, let the locals figure it out.

Speaking for PB&J sandwiches, I have homemade meatballs cooking for meatball subs tonight, also going to have beer battered fried mozzarella sticks, and onion rings.

I don't have the internet at home (something I plan on rectifying in the near future). Since I was leaving the office and wouldn't be back until at least Monday (and I wasn't in Monday thanks to a cold) I didn't want anyone thinking I was bailing from a fight... even a mock one concerning the manliness of different sandwiches. That cold is still screwing with me so I'm thinking of bailing again (plus we have a nasty winter storm heading our way). That's a benefit of being one of the owners in a family business... you can say "screw it, I'm outta here" with out having to kowtow to anyone or feel guilty about it. Also... you can screw around on bdsm sites on the internet in your office without fear of being fired. I know Thanksgiving isn't a holiday on your side of the pond but I'm gonna wish you a Happy Thanksgiving anyway. Marc
