you'll have to define both painful and pleasurable in your terms. Sounds can create a soft pleasurable moment or a very intense pain that travels to the core. Just like any toy in the hands of an experienced Owner.

The one I have is small diameter and about 5" long (the part that goes inside) . It should not be painful if you are used to taking things in your cock. I do know that the vibrating model is NOT ok to be autoclaved because they don't have a pressure sealed cabinet for the vibrator. I have no blessed clue how the owners of these are properly sterilizing them before they're introduced into the urinary tract. (And I hope they're not using them on multiple people, given that!) I personally have three sets of sounds (Dittel, Vanburen and Rosebud) and love insertional play. It should be done with caution, lots of sterile lube, with as much asepsis as possible (sterile gloves, clean/scrubbed field) and without force. Tops doing insertional play should have some guidance on their first forays with sounds and catheters unless they have personal educational background into their use (healthcare professional who does catheterization on a regular basis.)

my god do i hate these things, though Mistress say i will come to enjoy them, i think what She means is that She enjoys watching me ive only had them in once (though she has many MANY wicked varieties) i can not say it hurts sadly its just a really weird feeling andonce in i had a sence of needing to urinate, though aparently thats common i dont know so it does not hurt (imo) but its a weird feeling that takes some time to get used to
