I watched a Sunday afternoon showing of "The Devil Wears Prada"
and thought this would be a fun poll for CM.

Are you a fashionista?  Have fun adding comments, questions,
and hi-jacking!  Because I know you will.

You are most welcome, Crouching Tigress.  [:)]

SusanofO -> RE: Are you a fashionista? (7/3/2006 6:26:44 PM)

I try to coordinate colors, and like to think I have a sense of what looks good with what (or might) and I do care how I dress, but am not obsessed with it. I always like to look, though, and can shop for hours - and buy nothing - there isn't much I think I really need anymore. But I like to look and read fashion magazines. A lot of my clothing, when I did buy it, was the kind of "classic" stuff that lasts and stays (relatively) in style for years anyway.

I am not a "band-wagon hopper". I don't own a pair of crop pants and don't plan to buy any - on me (and almost everyone else, my opinion only here, they are just not that flattering). I remember crop pants from when my mom wore them when I was a small girl - they were called "Bermuda shorts" back then. I thought they were ugly then, and I still think so. No offense to any crop pants lovers out there.

I'll match the styles and colors, but I'm not too caught up in what's trendy.

acissej -> RE: Are you a fashionista? (7/3/2006 6:35:08 PM)

I'm basically the same as the previous posters.  I think I have a good sense of what matches and what looks good on me, but I'm usually more interested in comfort than fashion.  I like bright shoes and tend to base my outfits around my shoes, but there's only so much that matches neon green and pink flip-flops and the like.

desertdancer -> RE: Are you a fashionista? (7/3/2006 6:56:30 PM)

My favorite outfit is Kitten ears with big over sized collar with HUGE golden bell, over the knee socks and my kitten tail...I don't think that makes me a fashionista, more like a fashion not, or fashion freak[;)]

LaTigresse -> RE: Are you a fashionista? (7/5/2006 7:55:57 AM)

I would love to stroll those great fashion districts and shop to my hearts content. However my job is more of a jeans and sneakers type, and at home......well, comfort reigns. I have a HUGE closet of clothes from the days I had to actually dress up (I keep thinning the herd but its a long slow process) and a few things I keep current for the occasional formal event.........otherwise it would just be a waste of money.

NakedOnMyChain -> RE: Are you a fashionista? (7/5/2006 9:59:03 AM)

I'm just me.  I wear what's comfortable and what I look good in, regardless of current fashion trends.  In or out doesn't matter as long as it suits me.

The Subject reminded me of a song,

"I might be an introvert to you, the shallow fashionista,
deep as any paper plate, dressed just like the girl beside you.
How could I forget a waste of cloth?  Of course, I do remember."

eroticangel -> RE: Are you a fashionista? (7/5/2006 10:03:55 AM)

my mom wore those too but she always called them clam diggers.....i think i wear what looks best despite fashion trends.....and it must be acceptable, my kids will be seen with me.....lol

Tamerofwild1s -> RE: Are you a fashionista? (7/5/2006 12:28:14 PM)

I am Man hear me roar .. we have three degrees of clean . in the drawer very clean ..... on the floor  .... could be clean ......... and hold your nose .. god who died in that clean ...... we wear clothes that make people laugh  ..... we wear shorts with knee high socks on . and sandals ... me ... I wear whatever looks good that day ....... so I suppose I am no fashionista .... and I stay away from the flowery hawaiian shirts no matter how much crouching tigresse begs me to wear it ... lmfaoooo

impishlilhellcat -> RE: Are you a fashionista? (7/5/2006 12:33:00 PM)

That's why your submissive should just assume everything out of the drawer isn't even close to clean.

Tamerofwild1s -> RE: Are you a fashionista? (7/5/2006 12:36:32 PM)

yea pretty much ...... I need a domestic slave to make sure all my clothes are always clean ... hmmmmm *adds the to the list*

impishlilhellcat -> RE: Are you a fashionista? (7/5/2006 12:38:27 PM)

You just need an all in one not different slaves for different categories.. Much more organized than way <nods>

FelinePersuasion -> RE: Are you a fashionista? (7/5/2006 12:39:36 PM)

I have gotten into wearing all black whenever I can.  Not a goth, but love the way it looks, esp low cut black shirts, lots of silver jewelry...  bliss...  [:)]

RavenMuse -> RE: Are you a fashionista? (7/6/2006 1:59:54 AM)

Clothers come in diffrent makes? Frankly I don't care what lable is on my clothes so long as it isn't plastered all over the front in order to get the makers/designers some free advertising.... not without 'em giving me money for the honour of me drumming up custom for them.

Good quality, suitable style, smart and usualy black... other than that, I couldn't care less

UtopianRanger -> RE: Are you a fashionista? (7/7/2006 2:18:05 AM)

None of the above. I subscribe to P. Diddy's style tips.
