It seems you have a history talking about your blood issues. And other medical issues on the forum. I suggest you either change your PCP, educate them on your lifestyle, and find a kink-friendly therapist to discuss your chronic illnesses too.You know better and you know the answer regarding impact play- bruising & blood clotting.

Your PTT is about 2 seconds off of standard norms. If you took any NSAID (advil, aspirin, naproxen sodium), you could see false results up to two and half times a normal PTT (25-35 seconds, and some labs go up to 50). I'm not giving medical advice online, but 2 seconds is not going to get the alarms going, especially on a test that, like blood pressure, can vary greatly with different factors and times.

This is nowhere near hemophilia.

If you bruise easily and this is a new effect, perhaps you should look into possible causes such as Type II Diabetes with your provider. No offense, but you are a bit on the high BMI scale judging from the photo which is a risk factor for diabetes, heart failure and other things that can significantly impact your health as you age. Otherwise, it is within normal parameters for people to bruise more easily as they get older and/or take certain medications.

I don't think you have to tell your doctor about your personal affairs; however, do you really think a CM forum is going to give you accurate medical advice? I don't think you should panic, but discussing how you can improve your health and a thorough description of your symptoms with your provider is a good idea. Doctors will often ignore someone with a constellation of symptoms, so if it's more than 3-5 things, I'd be sure to write it down before seeing your provider again. It's easy to listen to someone rant a list of symptoms and then overlook a correlation between them and conditions.

And I wouldn't put too much credence into any response on this subject--mine included.

After this^^^, I would certainly give credence to yours. Especially the part about doctors ignoring folks showing up with multiple issues. Most people outside the med biz don't understand that at least in our US system, one doc cannot possibly take the time to diagnose, treat, and vigilantly follow up on every condition a patient might have, especially if that MD is a General Practitioner.

Great 2nd post, Diore, and welcome to the boards! Glad to have you join us :-)

I have several specialists I see...or well, did. I will be getting all new doctors soon. Hoping they will be more helpful. And hoping it won't take forever to get in to see my new specialists. Especially the new pain clinic. Ugh. I need injections in my back bad right now.

~FRing it~

It's a BAD idea to seek medical advice from strangers on the Internet. Your medical team is honestly going to know far more about your issues than the bits and pieces you give us or any other forums you participate in.

A lower PTT (or aPTT or INR/PT) actually means your blood forms a clot QUICKER! The longer it takes to form a clot the higher the values of these lab results. What the tests actually measures is the TIME it takes to form a clot....thus a value of 37 means it took 37 seconds whereas a value of 70 means it requires 70 seconds!!

Yes, 37 is only slightly slower than the normal range. 70 would be way slower than the normal range.
