and since non of my drs would listen to me and dismissed symptoms or call me back, about the pain just ramping up an up an up. the bladder infection was just happily setting up camp and reaking havoc on my body and my moods. it was causing the confusion the irritability the pain the bad moods the unexplained up and down an all that. hopefully i will feel better here in 3/4 days now it's being treated they said.

I'll still keep trying to talk to dr B and my therapists an what not. but i am super happy to know i am not just being a hypochonriac or something about the constant pain.

So glad to hear you went to get checked out and got some needed meds. Hope you feel better soon. Bladder Infections suck.

Thanks guys. I already feel more human and myself already after the treatment than i have in ages. It's a relief to know i had something wrong with my body and i was not just loosing it.

LGH, many dollar stores sell UTI test kits. If you're prone to bladder infections, it may be a good idea to keep a few in the medicine cabinet. That way you can test yourself, let the dr know your findings, and then they can just phone in an antibiotic.

Theyre trying to say i dont have a bladder infection i have a uti. But whatever. Point is, it explains the pAin n stuff, n im really severely backed up so she prescribed miralax.

not according to her. but i don't care i am not spliiting hairs. 2 drs said it was a bladder infection and i had tons more bacteria that should have been in the urin, she's trying to say i had a ton of skin cells contaminating the sample and that's why it read so bad.

Im to fat to fit into our tub, plus i cant get up and doen safely, even if i could fit, so its showers only for me. And i dont use fancy soaps, or doueshes or sprays or wipes or nothing.

Drinking cranberry juice or taking the tablets should help if you are prone to them. And drink lots of water.

No a UTI is an infection of the urinary tract and a bladder infection is an infection of the bladder. Although if you are coding a record and it just says UTI, you should query the physician to make sure that is really what he meant because many people use the two interchangeably.

As someone who has suffered both UTI's and bladder infections, I can assure you that they feel very different.

Glad you are feeling better. Infections can really wreak havoc on our lives.

If I remember correctly, lower UTI's (cystitis) are commonly referred to as bladder infections. Upper UTI's as Kidney infections (polynephritis sp?).

If your doctor is splitting hairs about whether it was a UTI or bladder infection - I'd promptly seek out someone with a bit more empathy, at the very least. Sounds like the doctor was justifying and rationalizing their dissmissive neglect of your concerns and downplaying the emergency room's findings. Maybe she was being defensive over worries about potential malpractice suits. Who knows. The important thing is you are being treated and hopefully all better or at least on your way toward that direction.

i have a bench i have to use, and i use the hanging shower head. before then i stood for everything then sat on the edge of the tub to wash coochie.. i say bath, i have to take a bath, i had a bath, i want a bath etc, but im not sitting in the tub. not as you'd typically sit in the bottom an fill it up an take a bath and marinate in your soapy water, like most people mean when they say bath. bath and shower are interchangable and the same thing to me , i know , technically one is standing and it rains down and one is filling up a tub and sitting, but i say bath even if you're showering standing up lol.
