It went great, he made me laugh, I made him laugh. We're seeing each other again tomorrow.

I don't know if he comes to the forums...but it doesn't matter. He pretty much already knows I'm into him.

We've only been talking for a week, and just met in person today...but we spent SO much time talking throughout the week. I truly believe I have found my best friend, lover, and protector.

Just hopefully me saying this doesn't jinx it. I don't want a good thing like this to slip away from me. As a good, genuine guy like him doesn't come very often...if at all for most people.

That's great news! However, you haven't found your "best friend, lover, and protector" in one week. He may turn out to be all those, but not just yet.

You are most certainly getting ahead of yourself saying that after one date.
You can feel excited! Hopeful! Eager to see him again. But. If you place such high expectations , when familiarity creeps in, you might just be sorely disappointed.

Enjoy it for what it actually is. A GREAT start. Placing any more important on it than that is going to cloud your judgment.

Alright. Thank you. I'll call it that, a great start. :)

Also...this would be the first time I've ever dated anybody...I've never had a relationship before. lol. So yeah, might also be me being stupid, because yeah. First possible relationship. lol.

You are excited, and that is understandable. I'm glad your first date went so well, and I hope they continue....and you may be right about the possibilities of this relationship, but everyone is just trying to caution you so you don't get *too* excited before you've had a chance to reallly get to know each other....that helps to keep you from getting hurt later, hopefully.. So be excited and hopeful, but don't give your heart away yet.....tread softly. :)
