About 6 years ago I started to talk to a local man here on cm. We talked online for a long time, mostly because he was looking for NSA fun and I was looking for a relationship. He was funny, intelligent and we meshed on so many levels.
About a year after we started talking, we decided to meet for coffee. The chemistry was certainly there and we both decided we would try for a relationship. He was single, divorced and extremely wary of commitment.
We spent several wonderful months together. We laughed at the same things, loved the same movies, indulged our passion for Rocky Horror and Monty Python together. He was there during some dark times in my life and he was my rock.
But as time went on it was clear that commitment was something he still wasn't comfortable with, so we agreed to part as friends. I loved him dearly as a friend and he felt the same about me. We were blessed, and he rejoiced with me when I found Master (here on cm) and our relationship blossomed into something special.
Today I learned he had died. I hadn't heard anything from him in a few months, but assumed he was busy at work (he'd recently set up a company). He died in September and I hadn't known. His family didn't know about me, so I was never told about his passing.
Obviously I'm devastated, but I'm also so very, very happy that cm brought us together. Without Karl I would not be the person I am today and in love with the man I have.
This story may have a sad end, but it was truly wonderful while it lasted and I will always remember him as my very dear, beloved friend.
