The guys I know with PAs are manly men that like piercings.

Darkfeather -> RE: why get a prince albert.? (1/5/2014 7:20:06 PM)

The most popular rumor for the Prince Albert is thus:

quote:

The Prince Albert piercing was named after Queen Victoria's husband, Prince Albert of England. It is said that he got it prior to his wedding to the queen in 1825. This piercing is done under the penis, in the center of the v-shape formed by the glands. At that time there was a craze for ultra tight men's trousers. Because the pants were so tight, the penis needed to be held to one side so as not to create an unsightly bulge. To accomplish this some men had their penis pierced to allow it to be held by a hook on the inside of the trousers, this piercing was called a Dressing Ring at the time because tailors would ask if a gentleman dressed to the left or the right and tailor the trousers accordingly.

As to why, who knows

Sitting down to pee makes you more of a woman? Huh. I guess you learn something new every day.

Sometimes I stand up to pee.

Colour me confused. [8|]

Socal, a Prince Albert pierces you in places you do not currently have evacuation tubes.

Getting a Prince Albert will cause you, every time you pee, to create a little "THE FLEET IS IN" kind of spray....so yes....you'll be sitting down.

I personally love PA's on guys. I think it makes them more masculine, not more feminine but thats just me!

Ah, so that's why they have Prince Albert in a can.

Yeah, No. That is definitely not a conversation I would want to have with TSA after the wand beeps at security check. Not to mention I have a strict no needle policy when it comes to the 57th Parallel of me nethers. My luck, someone tells a momma joke at the wrong time and I would have gotten a Princess Alberta...

jlf1961 -> RE: why get a prince albert.? (1/7/2014 6:13:00 AM)

I have been thinking of this, and my response is this:

With the bone piercings I have for rods and screws to fix fractures, the piercings that earned me a purple heart, surgeries etc.

I have had quite enough metal objects pushed through parts of my body.

MariaB -> RE: why get a prince albert.? (1/7/2014 6:51:41 AM)

@Darkfeather, I have piercings and they don't go off at the airport but even if they did, I would reassure myself that they've seen it all before!!

Not sure why they attract me so much. Thing is, a PA is quite a hefty chunk of metal. An 8g piercing cannula is a mean item [8D] and so any guy who goes through that process, is in my book, 'all man' [8D]

Darkfeather -> RE: why get a prince albert.? (1/7/2014 8:35:26 AM)

See, I am a light skinned black male, already 2 strikes on the TSA checklist. All I need is an over zealous agent claiming I was "smuggling explosives in a sexually located knocking device" and my god, jury selection alone would take months. Sure the detectors don't go off on em, but god sakes woman, they have to hear that PA jingling when ya walk... As for the cannula they use (yep, I have seen it too), it would take three grown men, elephant tranquilizer darts, and an act of congress to have that thing come near me. And even then I would at least require dinner and a movie first

I have an ex top who had a PA- I thought it was pretty sexy- I've never heard of it being done for the submissive reasons OP mentioned.

EdBowie -> RE: why get a prince albert.? (1/7/2014 7:55:00 PM)

That may come from using the piercing and a lock to make standard male chastity devices much more difficult to defeat, as part of a feminization process.

I have a piercing (on my girly bits down there) and I was told they wont set off the equipment at the airport but something sure as hell did when I flew.. I convinced TSA that it must be the button or zipper on my jeans.. but honestly, I do think it was my piercing.. and here in the good ole US of A, they have seen everything but that doesn't mean you wont get some cranky by-the-book bitch that makes you take them out.. and yes, its happened and been reported on before.. they are just plain nasty here.. [>:]

As far as a PA goes, I have met only one guy that had piercings on his pride & joy but he told me he did it cuz it feels good to women (inside).. That was his story anyway..

littlewonder -> RE: why get a prince albert.? (1/7/2014 8:13:13 PM)

When I flew a couple years ago, my nipple rings set the machine off. I just told them it was nipple rings. They took the wand over me, it beeped in just that place and they waved me through. No big deal.

they may have changed their policy about nipple rings due to the bad press they got a few years ago over forcing people/women to remove them (one woman needed pliers to be able to remove hers).. but even if they have changed their policy, meh.. I don't trust em.. you still hear about TSA doing stupid things.. and complaints against TSA is up 26% in 3 years..

but apparently now if you want to file a complaint against TSA, there's an app for that! [;)]

I have flown all over the world including America recently and I have never yet set a machine off. Perhaps I'm just lucky or perhaps some of the American airport machines are set too high. Security metal detectors are used to look for dangerous objects – knives, guns, explosives. When they are set on a very sensitive setting they will pick up pens, metal buttons and even fine jewellery. Because this is hugely time consuming for security staff, most machines are not set on such a sensitive level but from what you have said, some obviously are.

I fly from Italy to the UK or Paris to Italy at least half a dozen times a year and I haven't even given my piercings a thought but even if the alarm did go off, it really wouldn't bother me if I had to show some female security staff my piercings then so be it. I wouldn't find it humiliating, just inconvenient and if I had to do it every time I went through airport security, I'd just make sure I was their earlier. What I wouldn't do is take my piercings out on the chance I may be stopped.
