I'm not eperienced in 'hot flashes' but I do know about the blood sugar. Try to keep in mind of what medical conditions are within your family, specially your mothers side. If you can also see when the women in your family has tended to go through the menopause so you have an ideal of when. If its sugar problems I keep icing close by because its easiest to get in the system, just in case it gets to the point swollowing is hard.

Thank you for your advise. Unfortunately both my mother, her mother and my older sister have all had hysterectomies (sp?) so i am the first to go through menopause.

Maybe you ladies can answer a question for me on hot flashes.  I have been through the menopause I believe.  I got one of those over the counter test and it said I was post menopause.  I have been menuse free for 1 1/2 yrs now.

But occassionally I still have a hot flash, and my body still goes through the symptoms of having a cycle every month.  Is this normal.  do you continue to have hot flashes even after.  My cycles were so eratic before, that it was not unusual to go 9 months without a cycle.

While I was reading this it came to mind not only hot flash, but it also could of been as someone else said low blood sugar..orrrr...mild dehydration...so before scene try a small bit of peanut butter and cracker with gatorade..then scene, if it reoccurs then most likely hot flash...Tempting
