Apparently some are oblivious to the fact that when you say it's perfectly fine to shoot someone just for acting like an asshole, eventually all of us will end up getting shot.
But I suppose there will always be those who believe they themselves would never, ever do anything which could cause them to be regarded as irritating idiots, even if only by accident.
Last week, a couple in Chicago took their 8-month-old into an upscale restaurant because their babysitter had cancelled at the last second. The maitre 'd accepted the explanation and seated them, whereupon the baby starting crying.
The situation was relayed to the social media and that ignited a firestorm of responses, many of which mirror the reactions on this thread, so much so that late last week, the Chicago Tribune published an editorial on the event entitled, "Wahhh! Discuss."
The last paragraph of the editorial is worth repeating:
"Life is full of annoyances.
Most of them are fleeting.
Few of them demand a DEFCON 1 response.
Take a deep breath, everyone.
And order dessert."
