does anyone have any experiences they'd care to share here regarding this? D/s..either side of the kneel i'd love to hear thoughts/experiences..do you enjoy it? what do you like or hate about it?

Pallet wrap is great. Especially during winter when I would otherwise be frozen. You tend to sweat in it. And the clean up is a bitch, scraps get all over the room.

The only bad time was when he wound up leaving a lump or twist of it under my underarm.
That hurt a lot and pulled me out of my headspace.

you said pulled you out of headspace? can you further explain to a newbie? the "headspace" part..is that the point of it? i googled "saran wrap bdsm" and see that it's mainly for bondage/sensory deprivation?

Yes, it's a different form of bondage. Rope, cuffs, chain, etc.

I don't want to be suffering through play. He doesn't want me to be miserable all the time. He wants to know I look forward to play and sex, not dread it.

So being excited and enjoying it is important here. Having bad pain pulls me out of enjoying myself. And then I can't get back into the good space immediately.

Mummification can be extreme for some people. Not recommended for claustrophobic.

Every once in a while you will hear about someone accidentally dying from it - usually not related to kinky play because most kinky people know to take extra care. There are idiotic religious sects that think it is a 'safe' punishment for kids that discover to their horror they are wrong.

It's not just about access to air, there's also a compression issue.

I do not recommend leaving someone alone while they are mummified, not even to go to the bathroom.

Do it during the winter.

I have a very poor sense of smell but after unwrapping the scent almost knocked me prone.

I was at a party one time when a (male) sub was turned into a Christmas Tree, with branches, ornaments, and lots of cling film. I've also seen "time lapse"-style photos of a femdom who turned her sub-hubby into a Christmas present.

I did it to a girl during Summer.

Think of all the sweat that you give off during the day. Usually the air carries it away while it's happening.

Plastic wrap holds all that in. Now think about a woman's most personal area. All the sweat builds up and is released all at once. It gets a bit whiffy.

I use 3M vet wrap on her body, and will use a mix of plastic, vet wrap, and tape for the head. She usually is gagged with a tube gag and breathes through that. Works well I am told.

Pallet wrap works great. Saran wrap is fun to use and sometimes you can find it in different colors. Wrapping a boy up in all pink with some pink duct tape to "seal the deal" never fails to amuse. I find that wrapping arms and legs separately and then wrapping around the whole body tends to make for a little stronger hold. Pre-cut or have your submissive pre-cut your duct tape into 2-3 foot lengths. This will make it easier to apply the tape after the cling wrap is done.

Bandage scissors or EMT safety shears should be close at hand for emergencies or to free a select part to torment. Yum!

^ Pallet wrap works great.

Don't use duct tape. On some people it tears the top layer of skin off when you remove it.

If you hate giving up control then you will hate mummification or bondage of any kind or being a sub or slave. You're better off sticking to being a top/bottom or fetishist if any of bdsm at all.

Why work on it if it isn't you? If you don't like giving up control then don't do it. Be who you are.

When I hear people say this it makes me think they are trying to fit a square peg into a round hole.

littlewonder-i understand what you're saying. thanks for clarifying.

my control issues are mainly b/c i'm in control so much in my vanilla world. and i have a hard time trusting in general, as many do. but i am growing in this regard and loving it. seems the more control i relinquish, the more liberated i feel. :)
