You do not need to be broken and put in your place, you need therapy.

If you've been treated badly in past relationships you *need* to learn why you choose such poor relationship partners, again that's on You.

The very idea that you won't get emotional and throw a fit the second you are thwarted is laughable. You can say that, your actions prove otherwise.

AGAIN, GET HELP!

Transbabyjenni -> RE: A question for the domme/mistresses (1/30/2014 5:18:10 AM)

Look I'm doing the best with what I have available. I have very limited funds and usually after all my bills are paid for the month and food I have little if nothing left.

angelikaJ -> RE: A question for the domme/mistresses (1/30/2014 5:25:21 AM)

There are mental health services available for people who can't afford them and mental health parity is now the law.

You aren't a very happy person: you see yourself as being an outcast that nobody will want.

Part of that is on you.
You can be someone people will want to be with.
You just need to be willing to give up what is getting in the way of that.
And be willing to be happy... and be willing to work with someone to learn how.

To get what you have never had, you must do what you have never done.

ChatteParfaitt -> RE: A question for the domme/mistresses (1/30/2014 5:26:09 AM)

So now you give us more reasons to feel sorry for you. You blame your circumstance instead of blaming yourself. You have access to the web, have you even bothered to look for some self help sites?

Do you visit your local library for books that might aide you?

Have you looked into free counseling available in your area?

I bet not to all of the above, you would *rather* have a pity party and blame everyone and everything in your lifef but YOU.

Stop it. It's up to you, either you want to be miserable for the rest of your life or you don't.

Only you can change you.

Transbabyjenni -> RE: A question for the domme/mistresses (1/30/2014 5:41:23 AM)

Actually I have the closest thing to free councing here is a place called the centers and it still costs $20 a session. When I do have $20 it goes in my gas tank.

ChatteParfaitt -> RE: A question for the domme/mistresses (1/30/2014 5:57:02 AM)

So what are you doing to improve your financial situation?

I'm sure you will reply with an answer that means you have zero choices. This is not true. Everyone has choice.

I'm fairly sure you think we're picking on you, when what we are trying to do is to help you help yourself.

Some of us can see through your bullshit b/c we've been there.

I won't bore you with details but I spent 20 years with a man who was emotional abusive. By the time I left that relationship my self-esteem was zero. I actually thought I was so fucked up and unattractive that no man could ever love me again. With the help of a good therapist and a wonderful man who is now my husband, I learned to take responsibility for that situation.

It was the first step in learning why it happened to me, and what I needed to do to heal.

You can go the rest of your life making excuses, or you can decide today right now that YOU deserve a better life. I hope you decide the latter.

You deserve more, much more, but until you really believe that about yourself, you won't get it.

Here are some sites you may find helpful.

http://www.kathylabriola.com/

http://www.goodtherapy.org/

A good Google search will bring up many more.

Transbabyjenni -> RE: A question for the domme/mistresses (1/30/2014 6:01:14 AM)

Thank you. I will check those sites out.

angelikaJ -> RE: A question for the domme/mistresses (1/30/2014 6:04:45 AM)

Then perhaps you could go into some kind of pertial hospitalisation (also known as an outpatient program).
Your insurance should cover that.

You would get group and individual counselling.

Transbabyjenni -> RE: A question for the domme/mistresses (1/30/2014 6:10:23 AM)

You mean like a psych ward? No way! Been there, done that! Never again! Ever!

I said that the hormones were a part of the reason. My levels have been off balance lately and I've been trying to balance them out. I see my obgyn in Orlando in feb to check on the progress of restablizing my estrogen levels.

Once again, I call bullshit. Why are you seeing an OBGYN for HRT as a trans* woman? You should be seeing an endocrinologist. Estrogen alone isn't enough. You also need an androgen blocker, like Spiro, to reduce your testosterone levels. Have you even been to a therapist? From the sound of it you haven't, let alone seen anyone knowledgeable about gender identity issues, especially since most endocrinologists who follow Harry Benjamin Standards require a confirmation letter before starting HRT.

Get thee to a therapist. Now.

For the record, my girlfriend has been reading over my shoulder. She says, "quit making excuses for your bad behavior and go to therapy. You're in no shape to be a good partner to anyone. Fix yourself before you worry about adding another person to your life."

So there you have one trans* woman's perspective. She's pretty smart and one of the most well-adjusted people I know, so take her advice. You'll be glad you did.

Also, slight thread-jack...

I have one of those odd, unique fetishes, too; however, who I meet has little to do with my actual fetishes vs. the person I have actual chemistry with.

*pounces the inmate*

Hey, good to see you posting! Long time, no chat. [:)]

And what you've displayed is also a cycle of abuse. Outburst---> calming ----> insincere apology (sorry, but it's not convincing beyond the fact that you seem to want to advance your directive still)--->period of building tension again----> outburst. I'd honestly be surprised if you don't have some abusive tendencies based on this post.

Nailed it. Listen to this guy. He's effing brilliant and I'm not just saying that because he happens to agree with me. I've corresponded with him a few times and he's one of the smartest people I've ever met. Seriously.

Transbabyjenni -> RE: A question for the domme/mistresses (1/30/2014 7:56:27 AM)

Oh yeah? I am also on spiro, my doctor who prescribes my hormones is an obgyn. Brenda Barry Women Care Orlando, therapist is Alan Greico of Psychological Affiliates Orlando I can take a picture of their business cards if you like.

angelikaJ -> RE: A question for the domme/mistresses (1/30/2014 7:56:29 AM)

NOT a psych ward:
a day program; you go in the morning and come home in the afternoon.

Transbabyjenni -> RE: A question for the domme/mistresses (1/30/2014 8:01:12 AM)

Hmm, I don't think Ocala has anything remotely like that.

DominantWoman65 -> RE: A question for the domme/mistresses (1/30/2014 9:49:08 AM)

You seem to have an excuse for everything and the only person responsible for your bad behavior and attitude is you. I did a quick Google search and there are over 40 mental health clinics in the Ocala area. I'm not sure which ones would fit your needs, but then again, I'm not doing the research for you. You argue that you can't afford the twenty dollars that you need to see a counselor but you can afford the internet. Your mental health should be your top priority, not looking for a Mistress to satisfy your fetishes.

Transbabyjenni -> RE: A question for the domme/mistresses (1/30/2014 10:23:18 AM)

Firstly Ocala does not have any "clinics" that meet a trans-person's needs, that requires driving a min of 40 miles to Gainesville or 70 miles to Orlando. I do not have the funds to drive to either place weekly let alone monthly. I did such research years ago when I first started out

Transbabyjenni -> RE: A question for the domme/mistresses (1/30/2014 10:44:31 AM)

I did that search in '05 no one in Ocala treats it you have to go to Gainesville or Orlando at the time the only dr in Gainesville was not accepting new patients so I was forced to go to Orlando

ChainedByAnkle -> RE: A question for the domme/mistresses (1/30/2014 10:50:22 AM)

You might check malesurvivor.org.

they track information like this.

Transbabyjenni -> RE: A question for the domme/mistresses (1/30/2014 10:54:19 AM)

So I just did some up to date research and there are currently 2 therapists in Ocala that treat transgender patients but they are so expensive I doubt they are worth it.

tiggerspoohbear -> RE: A question for the domme/mistresses (1/30/2014 11:12:21 AM)

Forget it. Not worth it. Erased my entire post.
