What are the possible issues with drinking piss. Several doms here have informed me that it is a requirement. is it safe?

Fresh piss is sterile, but that would be dependent on the particular parts it touches on the way out. Actually, if you were lacerated or shot somewhere with an unknown water quality (say Mexico), cleaning the wound with piss is advisable to potential parasites and bacteria.

First off, there are no "requirements" in this lifestyle. Really what these guys were saying is that drinking piss is a requirement to be with them, nothing else. Urine itself is sterile until it comes into contact with the air outside the body, however it is a waste product and putting secreted waste back into your system, especially waste that belongs to someone else is not without risk. You likely would not feel well afterwards and there is a chance that prolonged ingestion could cause health issues.

OP, what it all comes down to in this lifestyle is: The only requirement for this lifestyle is consent. If you're consenting to engage in this behavior, then it's fine. If it makes you very uncomfortable, it's probably what most refer to as a "hard limit". You never have to "settle" in this lifestyle any more than you would in any other. Sure, you may have to tolerate (if you choose) a guy that wants to smack your ass, while he's fucking you but, you can find a guy that doesn't want that, too. If ingesting urine were a requirement for this lifestyle, there'd be precious fewer submissive ladies available to us. Good luck, Michael

Urine is sterile until it hits the urethra. If the person has an infection in the urethra or surrounding areas (gonorrhea, syphilis, candida, chlamydia, UTI etc) then there's a small chance you'd come into contact with that too. Also, if the person has been taking drugs (prescribed or otherwise) there may be trace amounts in their urine. Make sure the person you are doing this with has a clean bill of health and chances are you'd be fine if you decided to do it. But also bear in mind that not every dominant wants or requires this. It is a fetish for some and a 'no way in hell!' thing for others. Take your time and find someone whose wants/needs most closely match your own [:)]

As people has stated, urine is sterile in the body. If the person is healthy then their urine is not going to cause you any health issues. You do need to know about any medication the person is taking. Any drug they are taking has the potential to cause you side effects as well. Most medicines are excreted in the urine. So if you are drinking their urine you are taking a reduced dosage of their medicine. This goes for over the counter drugs like Tylenol to prescription drugs. If you are allergic to a drug they are taking then do not drink their urine as it could possibly cause and allergic reaction in you. If they take a large does of something like Tylenol and you also take a large does of Tylenol then drink that person's urine you could damage your liver as large doses of the Nsaid Tylenol can damage the liver. So be aware of any medication they are taking. Urine play can be fun, just be informed and safe about it. Know who you are playing with.

If you do go ahead and drink urine on a regular basis, be sure to drink extra water , to help flush out the extra uric acids and toxins ingested. Myself, I prefer hot tea with milk - usually skim.

I am sorry but while everyone may have there own kinks do not assume every dominate/master/top or whatever they want to call themselves also require this. Personally I would never require this because well it simply does nothing for me at all. Just find a person with similar ideas as yourself and let your freak flags fly.

The drinking of urine is called Urophagia, and has been used throughout history for ceremonial, medical, and cosmetic purposes. Even today there are people who practice urine therapy, although there is no evidence that supports urine as an effective treatment. The urine of a normal, healthy human being is 95% water, so drinking it in small quantities is relatively harmless. Fresh urine is sterile (unless you have a urinary tract infection), but it is a waste product. This means you could be exposed to medications or even environmental toxins that were eliminated. It also means consuming it for any period of time will increase the concentration of waste in your body. This is why you can only survive by drinking your own urine for a limited period of time. there was a thing on uk morning tv the other week and these people drank their own wee on tv. it grosses me out and apparently not good for you. but they thought it was. if you don't want to, then don't.

Drinking piss is sorta analogous to drinking a beer or a strong drink for the first time. No one really likes the taste. But you soon learn to enjoy the after effects. Instead of getting an alcohol high though you get an endorphin high :)

You should Google "urine therapy'.. i have been drinking mine and others for many years and have not had any problems. wish i could get more

I'd want to see a full std scan and the results of a very recent physical done to determine that he doesn't have any problems that could transmit through the urine. Because a regular physical wouldn't tell you enough. He needs to tell his doctor why he wants this done. And of course, you need to know what medications he takes, prescription and otc. However, it isn't something I'm interested in so I've found it easier simply to say no thanks to people I'm not compatible with.

Like everyone else said, it is THEIR requirement. You have it as a hard limit, don't let some douchebag you are emailing with try to convince you that you must do this or anything else if you are a "real/true" sub. Your limits are yours and your decision to change. Something that will often happen in an established relationship, notwhen in discussion with someone you haven't met. Always remember, YOU are considering/interviewing them, not just the other way around.
