Be gentle with yourself.
Instead of expecting it to be like it was before, perhaps you can embrace the journey of beginning where you are now?

Welcome back.

And yes, pretend you're entirely new to this. Have a few light spanks and assess how that feels. Go slowly. Try things out and talk about them afterward. Because it's quite possible that stuff you used to love may do nothing for you now and vice versa.

You've been through some psychological hell - and you may well have issues with some of what you used to enjoy.

Just be aware of how you are feeling when you are feeling it - and don't be afraid to communicate with your Daddy.

For that matter, if your Daddy has been with you through all of your troubles, he may well have issues taking some of those steps as well. It is in some ways harder on the caregiver than the patient, and he may well need some encouragement to get past it.
Good luck to the two of you.
