I am a sub from the UK whose Master is keen to use Dermabond in chastity play. He has heard that it is often used but we cannot find out much info on it. I am keen to find out all I can before I let him loose down there with the superglue! Does anyone know anything about it or has anyone tried it?

ER surgeons use it to close wounds. Do a search under those terms.

I have never used it in play, only when I actually cut my finger open and an MD used it to close the wound. It stayed on there about 4 days. I couldn't get it wet for the first 2 because it wouldn't keep the seal. I am wondering how well that would work for a chastity situation.

I don't think Dermabond can be purchased over the counter in the US, I don't know about the UK. Dermabond is sterile, superglue isn't.

Yes, it is. I work in a pharmacy in a very poor community and we recommend super glue for individuals that do not have health care coverage and cannot afford to get stitches. It can be painful coming off though, so I don't know about using it for chastity play.

There are similar over the counter products such as Liquid Bandage and others that can be found in the first aid section of most drug stores. I would be very careful with these as well though because many contain an antiseptic that may irritate sensative skin. If used frequently it can also be drying to the skin and cause itching and other discomfort.

The way that should be worded is that "yes, Dermabond is just sterile super glue" I was agreeing with you, but I mis-read the original quote. My apologies.

Gosh siamsa24 - its hard to imagine that in the year 2004 there are people who cant afford medical care - thank you for reminding me how lucky I am to live in a country where things arent yet that bad. The public health system here isnt that great but then when i read about life in parts of the USA and the rest of the world the system here is actually very adequate.

We have our own business and thus pay for individual health care for three of us. It's about $1100/mo, really sucks, it's our single highest expense.[:@][:'(][:o][:-][&o]

Have you looked around? I have blue cross, only on myself of course. I pay 88.00 a month and its a pretty good plan. I can't imagine 1100 for three people.

sorry to be off topic but Gloria is that how much you pay by yourself or do you work for a company that pays a portion of your health care also?

We pay 1300 for just Hubby for 2 months on Blue Cross. He's 62 btw, so will get medicare in 3 more years. I want to switch Him to Group Health of WA, which is what daughter and i have, but there's a waiting period so would have to double up for about 6 mo which is prohibitive. I've never seen an individual policy for 88. Are you in any kind of group Gloria?

Yes, I know, that's why I am all for government healthcare. There is a reason that I work in the poor area of town. But it all works out in the end I guess, I read a post in another are that said something about the American "Don't get sick" healthcare plan, that sounds like it's what I'm on. [:)]

I'm on here..sometimes I don't check back on thread's the way I should.

Anyway, no I'm not part of a company. On that site it compares LOTS of plans. I have a PPO. Just wasn't real happy with an HMO anymore.
I have to pay 20 to go to the doc, but for me it is well worth it since I can choose my own doctor.
Actually I was through a company and I was paying more. So I went solo.
By the way, when I first signed up. I had to have proof I had been insured for a year prior. Not exactly sure why other than the obvious. I may be too sick or something.
