My experience:
Sites I use:
Adultfriendfinder - more full of closeted gay guys married to women and the gay guys who don't mind them than it is with kinks. I've had vanilla hookups there and while some talks turn to kink, the approach is important since many of them are closeted, thus inexperienced, somewhat homophobic, and rather skittish towards kinks. Good for regular hookups but difficult for kink play.
Alt.com - good idea, no users there. I have, at the max, 5 people within 100 miles of me on line at the same time. Don't bother.
Growlr - if you like bears, that's been a good site. Lots of users, and quite a good percentage of kinksters.
Recon - probably the most explicitly gay kink bdsm site there is. Found 2 slaves there who worked out well.
Collarme - on the profile side, I get a lot of talk, but no actions so far. Seems more oriented towards straight kink/bdsm than gay kink in general, based on profiles.
If you are going on CL as a sub, I would be very careful, and practice all the safety precautions (safety calls, alert buddies, first meeting in public, take face pics together, etc.).
In general, regardless of the site you use, a few guidelines can help you get the attention of potential masters:
1. Be up front about what play you seek. Don't be ashamed or be shy about it, whatever the fetish is. There probably are some fetishes that are so out there that you can't find anyone nearby to do it, but chances are there are some who will if only they knew you were looking.
2. Provide enough information about other aspects that can affect either a hookup or a long-term relationship, e.g. your relationship status, amount of free time you have, can you travel to meet, etc.
3. Don't be shy in approaching Doms. A simple "Sir, your profile attracted my attention because (isnert some genuine reasons). I would love a chance to talk to you about possibly serving you." works wonders.
4. Pictures never hurt. Both regular normal pics (like the one you have now), and action pics.
Having looked at your profile, I would suggest you give out more details about what you seek and what you offer. If you're timid about being associated with a kink, then don't show face pic in profile, and only offer to send them to potential Doms.
