If tb stands for tail bone, then yes. You want the ones with a U-shape cut out at the back.

When my tail bone was bruised, I found this posture to be the most comfortable. You can also put a stack of folded blankets between your calves and thighs if this position feels too hard on your knees.

This position automatically straightens your spine, and your tail bone drops suspended into the space between your feet. It relieves all pressure on both spine and tailbone. Even just a few minutes a day in this posture is very good for all of you.

Child's pose is also very relieving for the spine/tail bone. Support the front half of your body with folded blankets or a bolster, as well as under your seat if needed.

Using a heating pad or hot water bottle, as well as folded blankets/towels for support, was the only way I could travel or sit for longer periods. At events, I would seat myself near a wall or door so I could frequently stand up and stretch. Sometimes it took support from a walking stick to get myself up from the chair, but it took what it took. You can buy a stick that collapses into itself for storage under your chair/seat, and IMO they're 'hipper' than canes ;-).

Another thing I did while waiting in offices like dentist/doctor was to fold the end of the blanket over the seat of the chair with the rest in a nice flat surface on the floor. I'd lie on that with my feet/legs elevated on the chair seat (covered by the blanket, of course). If I knew I would be there awhile, I'd bunch up a bit of the blanket under my neck to properly support it. This was the ONE posture I could completely relax in, pain-free.

If you try this, be sure to slowly lower your legs at the end, turn onto your side for a few moments to let your blood flow re-calibrate, then sit up SLOWLY so as not to get dizzy, using your arm for support.

Before getting into this posture, I thought it was polite to let anybody present know what I was doing. They were always sympathetic, and a few thought they should try it themselves.

I wonder why the round ones not helping. Maybe because theres not enough space for my tb, and pressure is being put on it anyway.

Because your tail bone is right at the back of your seat. The hole is in the middle of the doughnut. Your tailbone is sitting on the rim of the doughnut instead of hovering over the hole.

Now if you had an injury to your vulva, like a tear after childbirth, the doughnut would be perfect.

A friend with tailbone issues uses a U-shaped cushion. She carries it everywhere and finds it a huge help.

I've had bottom pain ever since my cancer-removal surgery last October. I tried waffles and doughnuts, to little avail. Finally, a doc told me to skip all the fancy stuff and just use a soft pillow. That has worked wonders for me. Probably the single best piece of advice I've gotten in the whole way-too-long ordeal.

Hope you feel better soon!

Makes perfect sense. Thank you.
