Has anyone but me ever heard that a slave/sub always has the last word if they have a disagrement with their Master? The last word is always Yes Master(or however you address them). Matt's littleone

Not in O/our household. But Master will listen to what i have to say if it is done respectfully. He knows that even though i am His slave i do have a mind and He encourages me to use it well. with respect, lily, collared and owned slave of Master Curios srn 308-692-331

As a type 27 classical European style dominant with a 94 on the Roberts scale, I use the Evangelica method of placing both mine and my wards last words in an envelope and pick out the one that becomes the last word. However, I am currently in training to become a level 15 Old Guarde New York style in which case when I have on leather chaps, it will of course be me that gets the last word. God forbid we move past things like being petty and worrying over who gets the last word rather than actually resolving the issue at hand, where is the humor in that?

I agree CP absolutely petty and if one is of the mindset to only have the last word and not look towards the picture of resolution of issue under contention. However as a Dominant type if resoluton has been made, then do you not also want the last word?.....Tempting

Littleone, I'd only fear "the last word, period." Can I debate well - yes I can. Can I use my wits to silence my Dom at times - yes I can. The "last word" holds no pleasure for me. I already know I can "be right" and win...I want to nuture and love instead... (it's not always easy, and takes finesse).

the online Gorean house i belonged to that was the fg's tagline. in IRC i've seen it as the tag line for many subs/slaves as well. It's not that unsual. I wouldn't say it used only at the end of an argument. For one thing most slaves would tell you that there is not such thing as arguing with their Master. It just is not done.[;)]

I am pretty good about shutting my piehole when told to... but a Gorean slave girl I am not... they would end up feeding me to one of their tarns....

I often see his "Look" hear my name in that tone of voice of his, and immediately say, "Yes Master/Daddy/Sir" I'm really trying to work on my docility. It seems to be important to my Joe and I want to please him very much. I sometimes think if he would just duck tape my mouth he would get a very sweet and docile submissive.

Interesting question LO35... Daddy and I were talking about this same topic this afternoon. We were talking about how age had calmed our tendencies to get explosive and quick to argue. Now, I say calmed because age hasn't stopped it for either of us, but luckily, not with each other. Since my relationship began with Him three years ago, I have calmed down very much. One time, near the beginning, (not D/s really), I yelled at Him in a way that I thought really proved that I was not going to deal with anything that didn't go my way (so very petty). Later, I told Him that I wanted to talk about that incident, and He asked, "What? That day you got a little testy and pissy?" I was stunned and told Him that I believed that I was being fierce with Him. He just smiled, hugged me, and said, "Sweetie, that was nothing. You should've heard my mom with us kids when I was growing up!" So, my attempt at being a "force to be reckoned with" fell flat. [:)] Now, I don't dare speak to Him like that. I love being kind, even when we are not in agreement, as we are really good at talking things out.

Other than that, you do as you are told.

that is a very common Gorean saying. it is meant as a joke that is funny because it is true (wish I could explain that better) when the Owner looks at me and says 'remember you have the last word' I immediately reply 'yes Master" it is kind of a warning that I am forgetting my place.

A sub does have the last word...and it's not "Yes, Master." It's "Thank you, Master." uttered just after he reminds her of her place, she replies "Yes, Master", he says "Good girl" She should always thank him. So I've been taught, anyway.

If there is a problem, they always ask to speak freely, if it is granted at that time; they do so. If it is not, we set a time up to discuss what is wrong. During those times, if they get the last word in, so be it [:)]

I dont know.. I can pretty much say whatever I want, whenever I feel- but its not without consequence.. Limits are pushed naturally, but when I am reaching a limit, it is respected-my Dom doesnt want to break trust either.. when I am venting or just being really bitchy, I am allowed to vent.. it is seen as something inclusive to us, sometimes its warrented dL
