I don't go in for porn as much as erotic novels ;-). I have noticed a glut of M/M/f novels where both men are heterosexual and share one female. Not cuckhold. Now this would be the ONLY type of poly I would be intrigued by but, is this the equivalent of the "unicorn"? So unlikely that it is only written about?

Anyone been involved in this type of dynamic? Like I said-not the cuckhold humiliation thing nor just cheating or casual play but an actual "V" or triad...

I actually know two women who each have that MMF relationship.  One of them is a sub with a dominant and a husband, and the other is a dominant female with a vanilla husband and another which she refers to as her husband also and is also dominant.  As I know two of them personally, the triad must not be as rare as it seems.  I suspect it is because more men are content to have a warm body beside them and women often desire more of an emotional connection.  Both women, btw, are very confident and secure.  lol but if I had 2 men in my corner it is likely I might be too if that were my situation.

For some reason, gosh I don't know, I always picture it, when I picture it, as an F/F/M situation.

Just pause and consider what the guys talk about when she gets up to take a leak. Most guys (I mean me) would find that awkward. Of course, for gals, it would be completely different. Right?

I think M/M/f dynamics are less sought after. I've been in lots of M/M/f scenes, but the other guy was just there for the sex.

I'd be super interested too. But I'd also be super interested in any "unicorning" frankly, as I am bisexual a number of dynamics would be good by me (The only thing I'm not super keen on is a male sub in any equation. I probably have some screwed up gender roles in my head about that).
I really am more poly inclined, I just fell in love with someone who isn't, at least not at this time.
Two men topping me would just be the bees knees in my opinion.

I have two sets of books that have a lot of M/M/f and even M/M/M/f stuff in them... They are the Divine Texas series by Heather Rainier and the Desire Oklahoma Series by Leah Brooke... The Oklahoma series has quite a few books in it with D/s, M/s, and BDSM situations in them..

The oddest real life group I ran into was a MFM triad with the guys on Blue and Gold crew. All three sharing during crew turnover. The last I heard of them they had found a copacetic couple and had a MFMFM poly group.

I've seen that locally in one house that is headed by a Domme. The others are kinda vaguely defined with several men and several women in quasi-relationships.

The only successful ones I know of are the ones where the head of the household is a Domme and the two men are subs. Other than that, I think most times, men are too competitive to have another man around and if they're both straight they definitely are not going to get it on with her at the same time. Now if both of the men are bi, then I could see it working out.

Wrong. That may be the case sometimes but it is definitely not always the case. I have had several encounters where I was with multiple straight guys at once. Some men are actually capable of having sex with other men present - and quite enjoying it - without being bi or gay.

It's not that rare.

Years ago I knew and played a few times with two guys who were friends who just liked sharing a woman. They were totally straight. We were all good friends.

It was me who created drama, not them, as I liked one way more than the other, so just started seeing him alone.

Can't say that I've ever seen MMf, but I've been a part of four different mmF relationships. None involved any bisexuality. I think this type of arrangement (2 males and a female) works much better when the female is the dominant partner. But that's just my opinion.
