Winter sunlight - light into dissipation
emotions - glass shattering into disintegration
tenderness only lingering clouds on the horizon
blown away by gusting winds of pain
Once bright yellow but now dimming orange the flames of love
a dimming echo of two beating hearts - now out of sync
tears fall - fading petals from a rose
fading passion red to lifeless gray
what could have been
what should have been
what cannot be
was it a dream
does it matter?
It is no more than a FROZEN BITTER MEMORY
a RHYME MARKED ON A TOMBSTONE
of the past
Hearts deceived
like the twilight as if it were clutching
the last rays of the daylight sun
above the dark ravine
the abyss's cradle
awaiting the death of romance
...the coming night
