A career that spanned eight decades ...
Married eight times ...
Despite his drinking, carousing, and womanizing, managed to live to a pretty ripe old age ...
This guy was a lot of things but he was far from typical.
I found his acting to be dubious but he had wonderful comedic timing and every time I saw him doing an interview or speaking with stage crew, what have you, I always got the idea that he was genuine - and that is far from typical in Hollyweird.
