Passover began at sunset...

And it's going to get a rare start, the first of a tetrad of blood moons...

At 12:53 a.m. ET, the Earth will begin to position itself between the sun and the moon... But rather than succumbing to complete darkness, the moon will glow red as it receives the refracted light that spills over the Earth’s circumference. ~Source

We have rain (supposed to turn to snow) so I don't think we will see it tonight. Maybe next time.

Kirata, thank you so much for posting this. I had read about the blood moons a few months ago and would've missed the first one if you hadn't reminded me. I'm hoping the sky stays clear, as I have a good view of the moon from my deck during the time of the eclipse.

Crystal clear skies here. The winds are even calm, so there won't be a lot of dust haze in the air. I'll probably step out on the deck for a look, a little after midnight.

Those are great photos! A friend of mine who lives in TX posted on FB this morning that "it didn't look that red". But yours clearly show it! Nice job! :)

Yea everyone has said it was cloudy where they were so I took tons of pics so everyone could see.
Sorry it's not the real thing, it was gorgeous.
