Lots to celebrate this time of year:

Passover, Easter, Zombie Jesus, spring (or autumn), family, friends, chocolate.

Whatever you celebrate (or don't), may your joy be abundant and abiding.

Don't forget that Easter is on 4-20 this year. I understand that this date has a special meaning to some folks.

Whatever my doubt about God, Jesus, life, the universe, and everything, I love this season, and making baskets brings me incredible joy.

I'd show off the one for my cousin's twin boys, but CM says the file is too large. Oh well.

And here's one for my home health aide. It's basically a fancy holder for a gift card.

I have a huge spool of that wired purple ribbon, which I adore. I'll need bereavement counseling when it runs out.

Happy Easter.

My mother is probably spinning in her grave since I have not been to mass since she passed, nor confession, or even opened any of my bibles.

However, the last time I visited her grave, I did tell her that if she pulled some strings with the big dude (he always seemed to answer her prayers) I would give 15% of the winnings to the church and I would begin to go to mass regularly.

Now it is my opinion that the only reason her prayers were answered is that a Catholic mom is kinda like a Jewish mom, when they talking to God, they do not know how to shut up. Kinda like when they laying a guilt trip on their kids for missing mass, holidays, birthdays, forget to send a letter because you is out of the country and are more worried with sleeping than writing letters, or cause you aint called in a month or two.

Basket for my cousins/hosts tomorrow.

The coolest items are buried: a candy dish with a gorgeous butterfly image and three ceramic bunnies doing see/hear/speak-no-evil.
