Hello all...

Firstly I wanted to mention what a great site this seems to be and how well people tend to speak to one and other...

My question is... When a "slave" suggests that he will serve... is their a point in time when a Domme considers his actions to be proof. What I mean is it's easy to say I am a "slave"... But it is a different thing to put out the garbage after and exhausting day. or to wake up early to fill a her car with gas and leave her a coffee in the console. Do items like this proove more dedication and perhaps slavery?

Thanks...

LaM,

I didn't quite understand what your post had to do with the OP, but then again, the same is true of all of Ron's posts.

Therefore, LOL.

Yours,

benji

I think of a slave as a service oriented individual, that has developed a bond that makes it difficult to even conceive of leaving the service of the Top.

What you're describing is just a well trained servant. The guiding principle is "what can i do to make Her life easier?" Behaving that way is only proof that you have a better understanding of what part of being a slave involves. Real slavery is the need for complete surrender to Another's will of all parts of your life, as in total power exchange. And this does not necessarily involve a live-in situation. So you need to ask yourself if you're capable of and willing to do that. Once upon a time i would have said no. That began to change a few years ago and now i find that i am on the verge of happiness as a real slave through sheer persistence.

Slavery becomes IMO, when both Master/Mistress and slave reach the stage of their relationship where it is not a game but a lifestyle for them and they both believe the slavery is real..

I agree and I'll add that this, for me, happens when no other word could as closey describe the dynamics we have 24/7 regardless of whether we are together or not.

There is no certain equation that can satisify all Mistresses in the same way.  Each of us are different in our needs and how to please us will depend on how willing you are to undergo their training to become eligible to be considered as a slave.  Then, there is a period where you will be evaluated on how you preform.  We should not have to instruct you cointinually to submission.  After  a while, some of these things should be automatic.
One does not wake up and say, "I am your slave."   It takes time.

Respectfully,

Mistress_Jan

Dear zzzstinky, Ladies and Gentlemen;

When slavery is real, is when the relationship between a Master/Mistress goes beyond the hunting/prey level; beyond the capture/play level and enters into a union where everyday you're happy to be there with the other and eyes never stray elsewhere, unless a poly household is the aim, to which creates a 'family/household' of chosen individuals that makes it a warm, safe and loving place to exist.

Respectfully submitted for consideration,
Lady Hugs

Well not the first time, but maybe by the 1155th time I might get the idea---why do you want recognition so you can quit? Actually that does not prove slavery, slavery to Me is cutting the grass and licking the clippings off the driveway.

Slavery to me is when after a courting/getting to know one another period, he says he is ready to commit to obeying and serving me on a 24hour-seven days/week basis, preferably at the same time as he is ready to live under the same roof...     M

Slavery in a way is overship of that person that is slave, to day in the Western world, and most of the other parts of the world, legal slavery is forbidden. Though it can still be real, when one come to a point where one have no choice but to obey, packing one`s bags and leving is not an option. One Master i respect enormously wrote on his site that slavery was when the slave was honor bound to stay whit the Master, no matter what, i feel that if some sort of bond exist, that be economical dependency, bonds of honor, onds of love, bonds of loyalty or Spiritual bonds or whatever that make the slave have no choice but staying, then the slavery, but the correct sense of the word, is a real one.

I'm pretty sure it also has something to do with learning how to make the perfect martini including number of olives and when to present it ;-)

it is real when all is given to the point that they truely have nothing not even a life. I was enslaved by a "Master" and his first girl. I came with much and gave all that i had on a material, physical, and emotional base. It was a farm and i worked hard there and at my vanilla job, giving all earned income to the house. From the begining i asked that he be firm with me and train me to be what he wanted. He played with me and used me but didn't train. After 3 months every thing went to hell. My clothes were taken i was given a few uniforms for work and a few pairs of underware also. Otherwise it was dirty overalls and tennisshoes. I ran away and even now i have to look over my shoulder.

it is real when you are either put there or You put yourself there. I am sure some will say i made the situation but to every story there are two side so i am giving mine.

My point is becareful when using the word " SLAVE"  because you have to be willing to give all or you find someone who will take all and you deal with the consequences.

Every dominant will have their own interpretations on this ... but for me yes there is a point in time when his or her actions will lend themselves to providing proof they have their ability to put themselves body, mind and soul where their mouth is.  It's no one thing, like I don't think well he's put the rubbish out he must be my slave ... but it's like there's something we maybe doing and *zing* he gets it... totally intune with is place at my feet ... it doesn't happen overnight but it does happen.

Hello zzzstinky,

Well, to be honest......I did those type of things out of a general sense of being kind, thoughtful and oiling the wheels of our lives, in my vanilla marriages.  It was a mutual thing, my husbands did similar things for me. I can't see them as proof of anything except a very thoughtful person.

From a personal angle, the difference between my *slave* relationship and my marriages, is that I have to OBEY him; defer to his will, not make his lunch.

The title of the post was *When is slavery *real*...and that differs from  the post that you followed with.

Regards, agirl

I'm not exactly sure that I understand the OP, however I will answer what I "think" the OP asked...

My cubby is slave at all times, even when we're resting on the couch watching a movie together at the end of the day, but there are times when he goes above and beyond the call of duty, and his slavery is especially tangible and valuable to me.

I remember being deathly ill a few years ago... was burning 1-3 degree fever and had aches, pains, nausea, sore throat, etc... My bedroom was on the 2nd floor and cubby was carrying broth, meds, and anything else I needed up and down stairs without complaint. He went to fetch something once and I happened to get up and go to the bathroom. I looked into the hall and he was coming up the stairs on his rump, one step at a time... I asked him why he was doing that and he said that he was feeling sick too... When I took his temp, he was at 102 and I insisted that he come to bed with me and take care of himself too.

He will put himself at risk to care for me. He will work tirelessly to make my life more comfortable and pleasant. Now, though someone who's truly in love will often do the same, cubby does it with no complaint, and a humility that isn't often seen.

I love him more than life itself and I know he feels the same.

There is a lot of touch and go in the begining.  Be careful of doing things you  THINK she might like until you know her well enough.

Observe her .. what does she routienly do... then you will be able to step up and do it before she would have to ask.

That would be a pleasant surprise for me.  2 poiints for paying attention :)
