Of course we would have to subdive that into male giving and female giving. I have to have some standards, heh

Once again, the voice of reason, my friend.

Seriously (and a bit more on topic than my last comment), Long ago, I gave up finding a really good match here or, pretty much, anywhere online.

It is far too easy for people to maintain a distance ...

... from another person ...

... from really letting other people know what kind of person they are ...

... from truth and (in some cases) any semblance of reality at all.

I need to hear a person's voice (initially, to allow a bit of anonymity until they feel comfortable). I need to look into their eyes in an effort to feel confident that they're not just puking words onto a screen that they think I want to read.

The difference is: I don't bemoan it, publicly and I don't start threads about it. I have just accepted that most people, given enough anonymity, will sink to the lowest common denominator and reside there, comfortably.

Screen captures still RULE! Ya feel me?

you forgot the "I just wanna get my dick sucked" category

At this point, having given up on any searching for real connections, I think I'd engage that option.

Of course we would have to subdive that into male giving and female giving. I have to have some standards, heh

Nope, didn't forget--it's right here:

- I WANNA BE A DOM/ME (so I can get whatever I want on demand, subcategory of the above)

Catch-all for bj's on demand, free maid service/housecleaning & free personal services, free grunt work and/or slave labor... You name it.

Unfortunately, the section for professional services in Collar Chat doesn't filter out the findommes when you search profiles on the other side.

How dare they make people actually read profiles to determine of someone might be a match for them. THANKS OBAMA!

Just do what I do, come into this thing expecting nothing. That way you are never disappointed, and even pleasantly surprised when things actually go somewhat well, heh. As one old guy to another, I know exactly where you are coming from. We men have a practical, minimalist view of internet dating... See what you want, go after it. If it works, great, if it doesn't fine, move on. Ah, the old days... Sorry, was reminiscing. These young turks with their Iphones and their twitter accounts, they fucked everything up [8D]. What was once a simple yea or nay, has turned into a miasma of are you real or fake, are you trying to get me into a dark warehouse to skin me alive, or are you just some creepy old man (my favorite). Gone are the days when you could just send someone an email and start talking. But hey, us guys still do it so there

Spiritedsub2 -> RE: New category? (5/6/2014 12:41:06 PM)

I read an article recently that gave me more appreciation for online "dating" sites of all sorts. It contained some statistic reflecting that regardless of our stated personal preferences in potential mates, the single greatest factor determining who we end up in relationships with is opportunity - who we meet.

If the pool of people we meet is limited to those we encounter in our daily lives, we won't be as likely to end up with someone with whom we deeply connect, particularly if we live in small towns or our time is limited. The article pointed out that realistically, the larger we can make the pool of people we meet, the better our chances of finding someone uniquely right for us. And online, so far as we know, expands that pool like little else.

But it's true enough: the odds are good but the goods are odd [:D]

DaddySatyr -> RE: New category? (5/6/2014 1:03:44 PM)

I can't argue with this section of your post except to point out the converse ...

If we "make our pool larger", we're automatically including (almost exponentially) even more people with whom we do not mesh well.

I'm of the belief that I am not compatible with fully 85-95% of the population (and I don't think too many people are in different circumstances). So, if I have a pool of 100 people, I might find between five and 15 people with whom I might have enough in common to justify spending some time with them. Of course, that's after I wade through the 85-95 people that aren't matches.

If I increase my "pool" to 1,000 people ...

As I've said; I've given up on making any real connections, here or on other sites. That doesn't mean I'll dismiss anyone that shows interest out-of-hand; it means that I've given up, looking.

I have absolutely no dearth of ladies with whom I can interact in my personal (or, if you will; "private") life. I'm out, in public, regularly. I'm partially Irish so I have what some would call "the gift of gab". I genuinely enjoying meeting new people and listening to their experiences and views.

Why should I continue to add more "raw numbers" to a search which will increase the amount of "thanks but no thanks" results by a greater factor than the amount of "Wow! We should meet!"? Yes, I know all about the "law of large numbers". I also know that "bigger" isn't always "better".

I wish they WOULD start a category for pro- and findommes. But would it stop the whinging? Hell no. Would it stop the unpleasant messages from subs who contact you having failed to read the profile properly, then get disappointed when you point out (again) that you are a PD/FD? Hell just froze over ...

Oops.

I forgot. Common sense is not a factor when one's dick is doing the searches. My bad.

Yeah, I would like to see separate categories also - like that's going to ever happen - for:

- STILL VANILLA aka FANTASISTS
- CHEATING SPOUSES
- UNOWNED & INEXPERIENCED BUT I CALL MYSELF A SLAVE
- NOT REALLY A SUB (or I DON'T KNOW WHAT THE FUCK I AM)
- NOT REALLY A DOM/ME
- I WANNA BE A DOM/ME (so I can get whatever I want on demand, subcategory of the above)
- I JUST WANT TO GET MY FREAK ON, SO I'LL CALL MYSELF A SWITCH
- I AM A MISOGYNIST BUT I STILL WANT A DOMINANT FEMALE (because I'm really just a fetishist or masochistic bottom)
- SUGAR DADDIES (self-explanatory)
- SUGAR BABIES (self-explanatory)
- FAKE PROFILES (I am an HNG male who likes to set up fake female profiles and/or mess with lesbians.)
- CRAZY MOFOs (WARNING: Enter at your own risk!)

Actually, just the first two and last two should just about cover it. [:-]

I kind of like the CRAZY MOFOS category idea. I have no idea why.

Is it because you identify with this category (as in birds of a feather flock together) [8D]
or that it would make interesting reading on a rainy day,
or knowing that there are whacked-out people who can admit to being whacked out is somehow more reassuring?

There's probably too much overlap with the other categories, I would postulate. [:D]

then one should learn to filter using their own common sense.

That category is called "mnottertail".

*****************

OP, you've been given a free site. It provides you with the means to contact dozens of women you consider suitable. And your first post complains that it's not enough to satisfy you.

That tells a prospective Domme that you will likely be handed something and complain that it's not good enough for you. What Domme wants that?

That's the bad news. The worse news is that, right now, your profile will not endear any lifestyle Dommes to you. It basically says, "I watched some femdom videos and now I'm ready!" A lifestyle Domme will want to know about YOU - what makes you tick, and what your conversation will be like. Here are some hints:

1. You're obviously fluent in English and Danish. I assume you may know some Swedish, possibly a Germanic language, and maybe some French. Polyglots are pretty common in Europe but command respect here in the States.

2. You're 18. Will you be attending college? Where? What major?

3. What are your hobbies?

Make yourself open to some conversations.

Yes, yes, and yes. I come here for entertainment, and nothing beats reading some of the profiles that fit those descriptions. [;)]

When will collarme make a category for findoms? :D

So lame people take money for it... I've talked to now 2 girls on skype who are "findoms" on here. They didnt search any for for connection besides the money.

Please make a category so we can have a better search function then now.

NewBoySlave, upon reading your profile I noticed that you're eighteen. Which is fine. But the fact you are seeking someone, basically any woman from 18-50 to dominate you makes it appear that you aren't selective and you'll just take any woman who is willing to dominate you. That is not attractive to women. We want to feel special, so you're "anyone will do attitude" is not helping. You also mention you don't have any real experience other than watching videos, which I assume you mean BDSM porn. This is also not an attractive quality because most BDSM porn is fake, so people who have not engaged in kinky sex or a kinky relationship and are basing everything on porn generally have unrealistic expectations, again not attractive. You make no mention of any vanilla interests or any mention of seeking an actual relationship. You also didn't mention what you are bringing to the table, just that you like kinkiy porn. What I took from your profile is 1.) You get off on kinky porn. 2.) You want to be dominated online or in person by any woman who will do it. 3.) You are solely interested in getting your rocks off. 4.) You aren't looking at Domme's as real human beings just fetish fulfillment systems.

Most women want a real relationship, not just to get your rocks off and then be on their way. That isn't domination. So if you just want someone to dominate you because you are sexually aroused by the idea, without any benefit to them, you will probably have to pay someone. So most women who read your profile that aren't Pro Dommes or Fin Dommes are passing you by. Where as a Pro Domme will read it and think "potential client, because he just wants to get off and that's it." You expect women to want a connection with you but it seems like you are the one who has no interest in connection with us.
