But there are many nutsackers suffering from Dunning-Kruger. These geysers of stupidity, who suffer the Dunning–Kruger effect which is a cognitive bias in which unskilled people make poor decisions and reach erroneous conclusions, but their incompetence denies them the metacognitive ability to appreciate their mistakes. The unskilled therefore suffer from illusory superiority, rating their ability as above average, much higher than it actually is, the miscalibration of the incompetent stems from an error about the self. The effect is about paradoxical defects in cognitive ability, in oneself and others.
Despite very obviously not knowing what they are doing, they become surpassingly arrogant and refuse to admit they don’t know what they are doing. And the last few years have been unnaturally kind to America's willfully ignorant.
The commercial media has taken moron-coddling these cretins to a new level. Faux Nuze and such as Rush Limbaugh have provided aid, comfort, voice and encouragement to America's once (wisely) silent-and-moronic demographic, treating these maladroits diarrhetic cants as 'fair and balanced'. No longer an oxymoron, it's a growing political movement i.e., Palin, Bachmann, et al.
Now the dumb-and-dumbers out there not only believe the unbelievable, the unverifiable and the unreal, they believe it all with prideful swagger and aggressive obnoxiousness.
