Tkman117 -> Collar materials (6/10/2014 10:40:40 AM)

Hey guys, so I'm planning on making a new collar for a future slave, but I'm having trouble deciding whether or not it should have an inner lining made of Suede or Lambskin. Which is softer and easier to clean? I've heard suede can get dirty easier, but I thought I'd pose this question to people with more experienced in collars in general.

Is the collar to be worn at all times or during play?

My play collar is leather (no lining), my permanent collar is a short but not tight gold necklace. Personally I could never wear a leather collar with or without lining or any type of collar that's tight around my neck all the time. IMO....it's a good idea to find out what kind of collar the sub/slave is comfortable with.

IHH

Lambskin, definitely. Water would ruin suede. "GoreanLord" on FL makes amazing collars for people he fancies and he's always up for answering questions. He showed me his process during a skype video call so I could make my own. He uses many materials from belts, to rhinestones to crystals and ivory. I would get as much creative and visual input as possible if this collar is ceremonial.
