I remember how much fun I had as a kid growing up in small town Wisconsin. We actually rode our bikes and played baseball. My favorite Statler Bros. song though is ' Class of 57'...

Ham radio BEFORE CB radio was the fad Watches and clocks with dials and a second hand McDonalds THREE COURSE MEAL was something new and different. It was only 45 cents. My family's first black and white TV Color TV was a new startling invention that did not have a TV station broadcasting in color in our area.

33 and 78 RPN records. A record label "49th State" several years before Hawaii became a state. Hawaii was a territory ... not a state. It was considered overseas duty. I was living there back then. Alaska was a territory also. Going to grade school at a military base that has been closed for several years now.

Lionel trains and track with an electric transformer to make it ruin. Traveling across the country before there was an Interstate Highway Two Gun Arizona - population two persons, two cats and two buildings. It was on a two lane highway. Don't blink or you missed it out in the middle of nowhere.

OMG, an Opel Kadett was my very first car (thanks Bro, here's my $400)! It had to be bump/jump started EVERY SINGLE TIME. I always carried jumper cables and parked at the top of an incline if possible.
