Can leaving wood clothespins on your nipples all night be bad for your nipples?

Not if you need to be hung out to dry

InHisHeart -> RE: Wood Clothespins (7/30/2014 5:00:34 AM)

Nipple clamps or clothespins can cut off the blood supply to the nipples if left on too long.

outofmymind - It's a post elevated a few feet higher than... your feet. I refer you to your own post about your feet. Judge-y much?

OP, yes, prolonged compression will create a loss of nerve function and sensation, at the least and can cause permanent damage, at worst.

Some people have developed breast cancer in the damaged tissue. It's a risk for anyone who engages in impact play. I suggest that anyone who wants to play in that way do some serious research. The fact that not everyone ends up damaged does not protect any individual from the risk. So, do it with your eyes open.

DesFIP -> RE: Wood Clothespins (7/30/2014 7:39:10 AM)

I think the risk is not breast cancer so much as the nipple tissue becoming necrotic and needing to be removed.

My recollection is that a Mayo Clinic study showed no relationship between breast cancer and breast trauma.

Yeah, this came up before and people had differing information. That is why I suggested that people who play in this way need to do their own research. No harm in that, right, DesFIP?

Also, maybe I didn't make that clear. Although the OP only asked about potential health risks for nipples, I thought I'd expand on that to include impact play on breasts.

Fast reply, funny enough, this reminded me of a time I hogtied a boy for his bday, I fell asleep because by the time we played we had both had a few drinks in us and it was wee hours of the morning and putting the clothespins on him was not such a huge whoop, there were about 20 all over his testes. But when he tried to move (still hogtied) while we were both asleep apparently they all snapped and went flying off at the same time. He was eager to play again though so I think he was fine, LOL.

That IS funny, under the circumstances. Can't say I've ever fallen asleep while my sub was still restrained, although it wouldn't have been tightly enough to risk cutting off circulation.

I'm assuming those were wooden and not plastic clothespins you used (except the wooden don't fly off so much as fall off); if not adjustable nipple clamps, I'll only use the less-pinchy, wooden kind. Prefer bio-organics/naturals over (Rainbow-Brite) synthetics any day.

LOL I've fallen asleep a few times while a sub was restrained or caged. All good experiences. And yep, they were wooden, and they flew off. These were his testicles though, not his nipples. Poor fella was rubbing his balls while we went to get coffee. [;)]

yes. its the same thing with those magnetic faux piercings; people would wear them too long and the lack of blood flow would cause the tissue to die and rot. if you pinch the backing on your earrings too tight the same thing happens... rotting. its not pretty.

IT may also result in nerve damage.
