Has anyone else been having problems with collarspace or collarchat while using Google Chrome? This is *BLEEP*!! I can go to other websites, but when I go to refresh a collar tab, it says that the page is unavailable or something like that!!

Yes, but I have presumed that to be a collarspace server issue. It was worse a week ago, particularly in the evening. However, I haven't tried it with IE. The problem comes and goes. It seems better than a week ago but not fixed.

Same here, it comes and goes.. I did try with internet explorer, it worked, just it also took forever because of the browser.. It could have also been a fluke, one of those windows where it actually works

It has all the characteristics of a scalability issue. Once server load asymptotically approaches the limit, everything times out. It could be something else since I don't know the actual loads, but that's the most obvious cause.

Perhaps support or a MOD can answer this question?

I use Firefox and I have the same problems with stuff timing out and extremely slow loading times. There is really no pattern to it that I could tell. I don't have any other browser loaded on my machine that I could test with except Firefox.

Me too, also with Firefox. But, here's the interesting part. After it happened a couple of times, I tried running a trace. It quit with an error because the canonical address could not be resolved. That's a DNS failure.

The NSA really needs to avoid that bursty behavior.

kkaliforniaa -> RE: Google Chrome (8/29/2014 11:08:31 PM)

Now that you mention it, Kirata, I had the same thing, just not being very computer savvy, any error looks the same when a page isn't loading. Google Chrome actually explained that that was what happened

kkaliforniaa -> RE: Google Chrome (8/30/2014 12:01:25 AM)

Now I have "HTTP Error 503. The service is unavailable.".. It only lasted for like 30 seconds though

FieryOpal -> RE: Google Chrome (8/30/2014 12:47:03 AM)

Not sure whether my pc is using Google Chrome with Windows 8.1, but I thought it odd that earlier in the day I was encountering problems with a Google-logoed error message popping up with "Oops" website not available at this time for both Collarchat and the CS profile side. This happened on 3 occasions within the last 16 hours. On & off within the past 2 weeks, I've noticed sluggishness loading between screens on the profile (but not message board) side; having to wait anywhere between 30 seconds and a full minutes just to pull up a message, or to go back & forth between Sent/Send/Bulk. Also on 8/22 thru 8/24, then on 8/26 I couldn't save a message to my e-mail address (as a reminder that I needed to respond to these later). I was still getting new forum posting notification e-mails, though.

Yes, same deal here, except my records aren't as good as yours :)'

It's clearly a server and/or DNS resolution problem, not happening on the client (i.e., individual user's) side.

I usually have multiple tabs open on my browser, when I get a really slow loading time I usually go to another page on a different site and reload that page to see if it is my side. Thus far it has not been my connection.

MrRodgers -> RE: Google Chrome (8/30/2014 4:00:44 PM)

I use Chrome and did have a problem but now have no problem. Firefox and Safari the same problem but now...no problem.

It's CS nit the browser.

playfulotter -> RE: Google Chrome (9/2/2014 11:57:25 PM)

I haven't had a problem at all with Google Chrome and this site but I don't come here everyday either....but it is my only browser I use.

Lucylastic -> RE: Google Chrome (9/3/2014 4:47:46 AM)

kkaliforniaa -> RE: Google Chrome (9/3/2014 9:16:22 PM)

September 3, 2014
Problems again.. I went and was able to access at least a dozen other websites, all while this one thread was STILL loading!! It must be something on collar's side [or Chrome's side].. It's really sucky
