FRIENDS

What are friends to you?
It is not just a kind act they do
It is someone who loves
You the way you are

They know when you are sad
They know when you are mad
They see you happy and are glad
Because they know the feelings you had

One day you will see
Just what a treasure you are to me
For I can see the love you have for me
Their random acts of kindness you will see

Will mean more than the world to me
Once a child whose life was wild
Now an adult wise beyond her years
She has shed so many tears

Days may and days may go
But this my friend I want you to know
You have helped me time and again
When things seemed hopeless for me

I love you just the way you are
So please don’t change a thing for me
You are not perfect nor am I
This I can see through a child’s eye

You love life and life loves you
I thank you for the kind things you do
Please know how much I care
Just knowing you are there

What are friends to you?
It is not just a kind act they do
It is someone who loves
You the way you are

To All My Friends New and Old. Thank you for supporting me in both my good and bad times. You will never know just how much your friendship means to me.

this slave thanks all of Y/you who have responded to her poems and hopes she can make some more friends here....she has enjoyed meeting those of Y/you she has added to her messengers and looks forward to making many more wonderful friends :)
